Melitta truly the BEST
Truely a classic...filters and drains quickly. Must be the type of paper Melitta uses. Tried cheaper knock offs with terrible results and taste... Don't compromise buy Melitta Filters

I have a since figured out a way to make these filters work without coming apart at the seams. Just fold them over and crease them into place. It not only stopped the seams from separating, it also helped make the cones fit a lot better. It's a shame to have to do this, but once you get in the habit, it's not a big deal. Melitta use to be a name in quality...but not any more. I had noticed they didn't fit as well as they should, but felt that wasn't enough to complain about. Then I started noticing coffee grounds. At first I just thought I'd over poured the water and it over flowed. Today I had hot boiling water and coffee grounds all over my countertop. The seams aren't sealed well at all, and instead of holding the water and letting it drip through, it all came at once and over flowed onto my countertop. Luckily I was standing there and it didn't get beyond that. I'm extremely disappointed and missed the return window, literally, by days. If you buy them, inspect each one carefully. I won't be buying them again.

Quality Filters at a Good Price
These are high quality filters at a very good price. Can't beat it, even for the store brand at my local grocery. This is a great way to make coffee. Easier to clean up than a coffee press and works better with ordinary coffee ground for drip brew. (A coffee press works best with more coarsely ground coffee.) Some reviewers have mentioned that they've had trouble with edges of the filter "blowing out" and allowing grounds into the coffee. Since the edges are crimped, not glued, this can be a common problem. The trick is to fold the bottom edge over one way and then fold the long edge over the other way, giving the folds a good crease. I've not had a blowout since I started doing this. I did notice that the last box of this brand I got from Amazon had wider crimps than previously, I assume to help lessen the chance of blowing out. I'm still folding them over as described anyway, because it makes them fit my cones better.

Flawless morning brew! Exceptionally strong cone filters that never tear.
I purchased this 100-count box of Melitta No. 4 natural brown filters to use with my standard 10-cup drip cone coffeemaker. I always opt for unbleached paper filters to ensure a clean flavor profile, and these have been fantastic for my daily routine. Pros: Rich, Flavor-Enhancing Design: The paper features microfine perforations that work beautifully. They allow the aromatic coffee oils and full flavor profile to filter through smoothly while trapping bitter sediment and fine grounds at the bottom. Durable Double-Crimped Seams: The structural build is excellent. The heavy-duty double-crimped seam design ensures the filter holds up under heavy water weight, providing total protection against bursting or tearing mid-brew. Perfect Standard Cone Fit: These are designed as a true No. 4 cone shape. They seat flat and flush against the walls of 8 to 12-cup cone coffeemakers without sagging, bending inward, or causing messy overflows. Simple, Quick Cleanup: The disposable design makes discarding used grounds incredibly easy. You can seamlessly lift the sturdy filter right out of the brew basket without it falling apart or spilling. Cons: Strictly for Cone Baskets: Keep in mind that these are specifically shaped for cone coffeemakers. If your machine utilizes a flat-bottom circular basket format, these will fold incorrectly and restrict water flow. Tightly Packed Box: The 100 filters sit very snugly inside the manufacturer box. When pulling your first few filters out, you need to be gentle so you don't accidentally grab multiple layers or crinkle the edges of adjacent pieces. Final Verdict: An absolute household staple that delivers a clean, sediment-free cup of coffee every morning. They offer excellent structural strength and pure taste extraction, making them highly recommended for drip or pour-over setups.
