Didn’t work on 95% cotton sweatpants
Ordered the black hot dye. I feel bad giving it one star but this literally dyed my 95% cotton sweatpants lighter if that’s even possible- and not only did they come out lighter, certain areas came out lighter than others. They also now have an odd undertone (maybe that’s why they appear “lighter” even though they weren’t bleached). I followed the instructions exactly so I’m not sure where I went wrong. I’m pretty sad because they’re my favorite sweatpants and I’m too broke to order a second pair- they looked better before i tried to dye them :( Didn’t think to take a before picture but I’ll upload an after photo later this week.

Not what expected
It was a waste of time and money in my humble opinion. We bought black to use on canvas, mixed it as instructed with salt. All the reviews say use hotter water the better. We mixed in a 2 gallon bucket with near boiling water, and salt as instructed. Constantly stirred for 15 min then occasionally the last 45 min. The canvas color was already purple I would’ve thought it would darken it some, the dye just rinsed off. So I tried white, 100% cotton rags and dish towel. The best it could do was a light grey. Just a “Megh” kind of product in my opinion! I’d use it to restore maybe clothing colors but not to truly dye fabric to a new color.

Works for Rayon Fabric that has bleached stains
Had a cardigan I bought from Coofandy that was ruined because of accidental bleach stains. This product absolutely works on bleach stains. You just have to do it multiple times and give it lots of time to absorb the dye. Unfortunately I couldnt use the the stove to reheat the mixture of dye, salt, and water and had to rely on just hot sink water mixtures but heres what you should do if you can reheat it on the stove: ------ 1. USE THE ENTIRE DYE PACKET when mixing the Salt, Dye, and Hot Water 2. Leave the thing you're dyeing in the hot steaming water dye mixture (Not Boiling) for several hours until the water is cooled naturally. (I left it for a whole day in the the mix, repeating this step across 3 to 4 days.) 3. Rinse fabric as best you can and dry. If the bleach stain is still visibly there, repeat step two. If the dye mixture is becoming clearer it means the fabric absorbed most of the dye, and that the mixture has more salt water in it than it does dye. If that is the case, put more of the dye packet, reheat, mix, and repeat step two. 4. At some point the fabric should no longer have the bleach stains even after washing and drying after you've repeated these steps a few times. ------ Personally I used steaming hot water for the mix, but you should take care to use temperates that your clothes can tolerate and nothing higher. I should also mention that I did not bleach my cardigan first to have an even dye because I was too scared to ruin it even more. This wasn't an issue in the end because you could hardly tell that the cardigan was bleached from the results. The only thing that was a bit unexpected was that the laundry instruction tag that was attached to the cardigan was also dyed completely black but I don't really mind since you cant really see it since its from the inside. I do not know if any of the other dye colors of this brand will work as I only used black.

One of the best surprise find of the year!
Wow, I mean just wow!!! I had really old worn carpet and I thought it past dead but what Tulip did for the color is hard believe must less describe. Of course they're still worn place but they don't stand out now. Wish you more choices in colors but it is what it is.

Waste of money and time!
Didn't work at all. The fabric was a poly/cotton blend and absolutely none of the dye took, except on the thread! Waste of money and time.

I recently purchased this in order to dye a royal blue cardigan black and to dye some bleach stains out of a black cardigan I had. Both where made from cotton. I followed the instructions to a T but once they had dried the bleach stains remained and the royal blue cardigan was patchy. I tried something different with each of the three packets leaving them to soak longer each time but it didn't work in the end.

Stupid me, got bleach on the entire lower leg of my black scrub pants. I wasn’t sure if it would work on polyester but figured this was worth a try before throwing them in the garbage as they looked awful. It worked!! I’ve washed them many times since dying and they still look great, you’d never know about my bleach mishap!
