Irritrol 2600T Angle Valve with NPT Threaded Connection, 1"

I hate that my house has a 90 valve like this but it's easier to replace with the same than change it all. This worked just fine.

I thought this kind of valve should be compatible to most of the irrigation controller. Not the case for this valve. I wanted to use this valve as a main valve in my irrigation system and connected the wire to my Hunter irrigation controller. When the irrigation system is on, the valve make vibration noise - apparently the current is no enough. Then the channel on the irrigation controller for the main valve doesn't output any voltage anymore - it is damaged. I measure the valve coil impedance, it is 25 ohm. So the rush current is nearly one amp.Added more updates. I fixed the Hunter irrigation controller. The chip inside actually can take up to 4 amps current. So I think probably it is because I disconnected wire of the valve while it is on, which may cause a high voltage to damage the chip. Now the valve is working properly after I fixed the irrigation controller. But still, large in rush current is expected.

Perfect 1:1 replacement for my current Irritrol valve that blew out. These things are workhorses that last for decades with proper maintenance. I could have simply replaced the diaphragm, but figured I'd go extra since the original was over 10 years old. I also bought three more to replace the crappy (other bird brand) valves in my backyard junction. At roughly $30/valve, that's a good deal.

Purchased this valve for a repair to my sprinkler system. It worked well to replace a malfunctioning valve. It arrived on the first day of the delivery window, which was much appreciated by me and my grass.
