Zbrush 4 Sculpting for Games: Beginner's Guide

Das Buch ist zwar komplett auf english, aber da ich sowieso jeden Tag mit nicht-deutschen auf english chatte, habe ich keine Probleme damit.Ich habe mir vor einiger Zeit Zbrush geholt und wusste zunächst nicht wie ich damit arbeiten muss. Dank dieses Guides habe ich meine ersten Schritte gelernt und sculpte inzwischen problemlos. Noch bin ich ziemlich am anfang des Buches, aber ich bin auf die späteren Kapitel gespannt und kann jetzt schon sagen dass mich das Buch überzeugt. Also: Kaufempfehlung.

L ho comprato per fare un regalo ma anche io mi intendo di modellazione 3D, gli ho dato un occhiata e sembrava veramente ben fatto, dentro è illustrato e spiega passo passo i vari passaggi. Ovviamente devi sapere l inglese. Il destinatario alla fine ne è rimasto molto soddisfatto

I recently bought this book to help me with a 3D character modeling class for school. Even though this says it's for Game Modeling it's an excellent beginner modeling book for using ZBrush and doesn't necessarily have to be applied to only game model building. The concepts can be applied to other modeling scenarios.The author describes everything in a way that is super simple in such a way that even if you opened ZBrush for the first time you'd be able to get around in there with the help of this book.There are references with step-by-step instructions with screen shots on how to use the tools and even lists the short cuts (which is extremely helpful in any 3D modeling program). Like other people have said, the images are not in color but you get the general idea. I found that when doing the exercises in the book with the program open it's much better than trying to read the book by itself. I would definitely recommend this book to beginning ZBrush artists. :)

Be warned the images in the paper back version are appalling, actually they are a disgrace. Zbrush the program, is bizarrely laid out - very confusing and not at all intuitive and good visuals for reference are needed to make sense of it.
