The replacement keyboard works great. Only if I had known that there would be a million plastic rivets holding in place. Other than how hard it is getting to I would say it was a clean swap.

What I didn’t realize when I purchased this keyboard for my laptop was how much rework I was going to need to do to get the old keyboard out and put the new one in. My keyboard still worked, I was really just hoping to replace a worn out key face.But after removing the drive. Battery. Wifi Card. Motherboard. I realized it’s not screwed in. It’s melted into the plastic. The only way to remove the keyboard then is to literally break the bond between the plastic palm rest and the keyboard. But since my keyboard was still functioning just ugly I opted to just replace the keys from the new keyboard.Realizing only now I coulda just bought a replacement key instead would have been better.

EDIT: I made a mistake! I have the 720-12ikb model, not 15ikb, which would certainly account for the size problem. I am glad I am able to return it. (In my original review I said it was too big, as it obviously would be!! I just had my computer torn apart so I couldn't check its specs and I misremembered the number)The product is fine. The packaging was secure. Nothing chipped or broken on the keyboard.

Not the easiest thing to replace but that's lonovos fault. Part fit perfectly and all keys and backlight function perfectly

I was going to return this because I didn't think it would work with my daughter's Lenovo Yoga 720-15IKB but it did and works great. This isn't the simplest thing to replace but I was able to do it and she's happy. I was going to return it and get the Palm rest but when I investigated getting one they were very hard to find and over $100.
