ABUS Hardened Steel 8KS 10 Foot x 5/16" Thick Square Security Chain

A criminal bandit tried to steal my golf cart a couple months ago. I had a marina type boat cable flex lock that I weaved through the front tires and anchored to my garage. On my security camera recording, I watched the bandit cut right through the cable within seconds. Luckily he wasn’t able to figure out how to hot wire the thing so took off. Now comes this beast of a security chain. It’s heavy and thick and the looks of it screams go away. The weakest point will be the padlock so I bought a heavy duty harden steel padlock that’s 10 rated. The chain link is a nice size so I’m able to loop it through both front tires and padlock it to the center where there is a wielded heavy duty towing loop I connected everything together. If someone wants to remove the chain, they would need essentially a cutting torch to either cut the chain or the padlock. Having this heavy gauge security chain makes me feel confident that potential thieves will have second thoughts. I do recommend this if you want something that’s really easy to loop and be tough nut to crack. Just make sure you get at least Rated 10 security padlock or having this chain will defeat the purpose.

Product is as described. Pricey but it is a very heavy duty chain. Seems priced accordingly. Fabric covering is a nice and appreciated feature. I use it to secure two motorcycles together by the frames and its nice to know the raw chain isn't dragging across paint.

Great chain, nicely covered to protect finishes, seems indestructable, but because of this it is Heavey.

This chain is a beast! Expensive, but hopefully worth it. I'm using it to secure an expensive dual gas/charcoal grill. I'm told they sometimes "disappear" in the neighborhood I recently moved to.

I like this chain. Puts my mind at a little ease, as it will slow down a thief. I use this on my boat trailer, running it thru the wheels, and locking the ends together. The black nylon outer is nice too, helps from scratching up my wheels.

it was annoying to find a lock for this. minus half a star for not having an oversized ring to loop the chain through. BUT one end of the chain CAN thread into the other end, and that's good enough. normal padlocks seems out of place and too filmsy. i ordered the fuggetaboutit kryptonite lock and it was too thick. ofc the abus diskus lock was just right. i use this to chain my bike to my building's garage and I feel safe about it. i wouldn't use this chain for prolonged period in outdoor NYC though. might get the 2' 12ks chain for that.
