P.R. Pulp Riot Semi-Permanent Hair Color 4oz- Countess

This was so easy to use and the colour is so vibrant when applied on bleached hair! The colour slowly washes out after about 3 weeks. Be careful wearing light coloured clothing if caught in the rain. The colour will bleed a little when hair is wet.

This is the fourth Pulp Riot color I’ve used, and it might be my favorite! I brushed it on over slightly grown out bleached/balayaged hair (level 9-10) and didn’t go all the way up to the roots. I used more than half of the tube. I separated my hair into approximately 12 sections to apply the dye, then twisted and clipped it all up, put it in a plastic shower cap, and waited for an hour and 10ish minutes before washing it out with hot water, a double shampoo, and conditioner. I love fashion colors but I love hot showers more, so here we are. My natural hair is a level 6-7 with some much lighter hair around the hairline. The dye didn’t grab onto my darkest unbleached hair, but that wasn’t my goal. I am positive it would have been quite effective on my lightest areas (levels 8-9) of unbleached hair around my hairline, which I left undyed on purpose. It does seem to cover grays. As with all Pulp Riot dyes, this one left my hair super soft, super shiny, and smelling sooo good. Some dyes give me headaches, but not any from Pulp Riot that I’ve tried. I haven’t washed it again yet but I will (if I remember) report back on bleeding and fading, both likely because of my aforementioned love of hot showers. I’m actually excited for the fade-out; I think it’ll look really pretty. This may become my new signature color. I like it a lot! It leans purple. I’d say it’s way closer to berry than red when it’s applied over a neutral base.

I have tried many brands and thus far Pulp Riot is my favorite. Colors are great, pictures give actual representation of color, and don’t washout/fade nearly as fast as other brands. Rich vibrant color that doesn’t dull the hair.

Really good product. The color came out well. Some people suggested just to rinse well with water, without shampoo.

Okay I LOVE this color. It is more purple than red like the box but still looks great. It only shows up on lightened hair so don't expect it to do much of anything to dirty blonde or brown hair. Fades fast and fades to a lighter purple color, still looks really good.
