Eagerly awaited and not disappointed! I only got it yesterday but was hooked from the minute I opened the box. Apart from the fact that it is materially of such quality, reading the back story and history only adds to the utter respect to Clare Smythe for her achievements. To actually have clear pictures of the finished dishes with description, and then have the very detailed and precise recipes to recreate these dishes is heads above so many other books representing fine dining. You do need to have a certain competency or confidence for the recipes - not for the faint hearted - but a great book to build on skills for the keen cook! I'm definitely looking forward to trying some of these out!

This book is beyond pretentious and straight into arrogant with its recipes. The food isn’t even presented on plates! It’s just a plain white background and placed on top of some ferns or similar. Buy the ritz cookbook instead.

Thos is quite possibly the best cook book ever. Beautiful in every way. You will not be disappointed

I have very many books from Michelin starred and acclaimed chefs. This book is in the top 3 and possibly top 1. It is beautiful in every way. The cover the presentatation the photography and descriptive text. The print and presentation reflects the very highest standards Clare represents.I have no idea how it could be betterThank you Clare Smyth and Phaidon

This book was exactly what I wanted to give my friend,who is a chef,for his birthday. It was so beautifuly presented. Not cheap ,but so,so worth it and original. Bushy.
