Pond H2o Blue Heron Decoy with Legs & Stake 30'' (76cm) Tall

The only issue with this decoration is that the real Blue Herons don’t seem to like it. They land near it but then fly away, which is exactly what I wanted to prevent them from doing. Over the past 20 years, I’ve purchased three of these. They hold up well, even in constant sunlight. Highly recommended, and as I mentioned, I’ve bought them before and will keep buying them.

I'm very happy with this plastic bird. I placed it next to my Koi pond and it looks great. Quite realistic. Well-made.

Had for several years, paint is coming off, but could easily repaint.

I purchased the decoy 11 months ago and was not impressed with the weight and appearance of it. I am very pleased with it now because it works. I set it up by my fish pond and the problem real Great Blue heron has not returned. The decoy has withstood heavy winds, sun, and abundant rain. It continues to detour the real thing. The fish in the pond seemed to stay deep for a couple of days each time I have moved the decoy to a different location. My neighbor has a large fish stocked pond and set up my decoy at her pond. The next day she told me she watched a Great Blue heron fly in, swoop down as if to land and appear to see the decoy and immediately turned back and flew away. The decoy has worked and continues to very well for me. It was spendy but so are fish.

This Heron is very real looking. At first I thought a bit expensive but I see now that it is worth it. Nicely painted and life size. Comes with a stake to hold down or use a rock. Move it occasionally, the other birds notice. Could also glue it to a paver and then move it as needed. Super purchase!

One of these herons is the decoy not doing its job. Used to have a problem with smaller herons. This decoy has brought larger herons to my pond. Of course, larger herons eat more fish and are better hunters. Problem I’m trying to solve just got worse. Can’t recommend.

Purchased as a decoy to discourage the blue heron that ATE my 5 year old goldfish. It’s a great size and comes basically assembled. So far the performance & stability is great. No problem with color and looks nice.

I loved the life like appearance and price. My son thought it was real by our fish pond when he first seen it from a distance of aprox.twelve feet. I purchased on June 8,2019. What I disliked was I noticed in a very short period of time;three weeks the colors were coming off the plastic. I did exspect the product colors to last alot longer than that. Since I have to cover and winterize my fish and waterlilly pond each October and open usually in April or May normally. None of my ornamentals stay outside all year. This past spring was more colder and wet,so filter and cleaned and was opened later than usual in June 2020. I hope you change that a ornamental that you know is placed outside a few months out of the year needs to be with a much higher grade of paint. I gave this only two stars for this purchase because it started to loose paint way to quickly. Please address this problem.

What an excellent product.It's tall and realistic.I got it for pond protection having lost a fish to the heron already this year.So its all out war. This is so well made out of a hard durable plastic. The colours are great with realistic bright eyes. If you want a heron for garden or pond protection,then get this. Its probably the first thing I have bought for such a good price.

Seems to be working he is so real looking that it startles people true test will be the end of winter at Spring thaw is when I seem to lose my fish

Nice product i did have to glue the legs to the main body but not a problem. I did have to re paint the heron to match the heron that we have around here as ours is a grey heron. But very happy with product fast delivery and well packed. Thankyou.

I got this item because my wife is crazy about Blue Herons. This model is very lifelike but after we set it up near a bird bath, the song birds quickly became accustomed to it and paid it no attention . No problem - every body is happy!
