If you like the taste of sesame seeds roasted, unsalted, and still in the hull then this is perfect for you. If you just use a few here and there for recipes and such you may not want such a big bag, but I eat them everyday with pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, so I like having a big bag. Some people that I have shared them with do not like the taste, they do have somewhat of a burnt, nutty flavor that at first is... just different, but to me it is addictive and when I eat my mix of seed, it gives a flavor that I love. I also use them for recipes as well, so I get a lot of use from them, so having a big bag that reseals is great. I also have not had any issues with it resealing as I have with some other similar bags.

We wanted to make our own sushi rolls - for the first time and it was DELICIOUS!!! I like to eat as organic as possible and this it perfect. Since we have never done sushi before, I was thinking about getting one of these sets, but I am happy I did not. These organic sesame seeds smell so good and taste great when sprinkled over the sushi rolls. Here is a list of what we needed to make our own "healthy" sushi (most of it from Amazon, except the fresh stuff to fill the rolls with): Lundberg Organic California Sushi Short White Rice Eden Foods Organic Naturally Brewed Tamari Soy Sauce - add once the rice is boiled Eden Foods Organic Brown Rice Vinegar -- 10 fl oz - add once the rice is boiled Helen Chen's Asian Kitchen Bamboo Sushi Mat with Paddle - use the paddle to mix the rice with the sauce and vinegar + wrap up the bamboo mat in plastic wrap One Organic Sushi Nori Premium Roasted Organic Seaweed - 50 Sheets (4.5 oz) - put half sheet on the mat, spread rice on it add whatever you want in your sushi roll - we add smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado and cucumber roll it, slice it with a sharp knife dipped in mixture of water and vinegar THIS Kevala Organic Toasted Sesame Seeds - to sprinkle the rolls don't forget also soy sauce for dipping, spicy mayo (yogurt with hot chili sauce) and sticks! Sushi rolls take some time to make - 1 hour for the rice, then some time for the rice to cool down and then about 20 mins to make the rolls. Once the rice is done and cooled down, it is fun to sit together at the table and prepare the rolls. It is a great activity for a date night. Plus the result is extremely delicious!!!

I had always bought toasted sesame seeds from my local Asian food store. It never tasted very fresh. This time, I decided to try organic. I could not believe the difference!! This was sooooooo fresh tasting!! Like the seeds were just collected and toasted, like I remember growing up with in Korea!! Very yummy!! I grind it up partially in my FP to release more of the flavor..about one cup. I keep that in a jar in my fridge to use daily and the rest, I keep in the freezer to keep it fresh! So delicious! I sprinkle it on my rice with a bit of toasted sesame oil and salt. That makes a great late night snack! You can eat it with some nori seaweed sheets, kind of like a sushi roll. I also sprinkle on my fish, veggies...whatever I am in the mood to have taste Asian. I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it!!

I know these seeds are added to Asian dishes, but I add them to most of the foods that I cook. I especially like them on beans, lentils & quinoa or rice. I didn't like them at first but I love them now!

Rather than buy tahini, I just ground a couple handfuls in the food processor and added my chikpeas for hummus. It might be a lifetime supply though.

Están muy ricas de sabor, y la calidad del tostado es excelente. La uso para revolver con la sal, para ponerla en mis ensaladas y con nueces varias. Riquísimas, se las recomiendo.

Si sabe a ajonjolí y la textura se siente muy diferente

El sabor de un ajonjolí recién horneado me transporta al cielo! y este la verdad no huele a nada parecido. Dice que es orgánico, pero hubiera preferido una presentación de AJONJOLI ORGANICO SIN TOSTAR y tostarlo yo misma en casa. Espero que saquen en algún momento esa presentación y con gusto lo compraré.
