Is this product Cruelty free?

Thank you for your question. I'm a beauty advisor for Pierre Fabre USA, Inc. the parent company of Avene. Avene adheres to the European cosmetic regulations, meaning we do not test our cosmetic products on animals, and we meet the standard definition for cruelty-free. As the brand does have distribution in some countries that require animal testing by third parties to establish consumer safety, some consumers would define this as not being cruelty-free. While these practices are outside of our control, we are hopeful that these government regulations will change in the future. Avene is working with industry and other partners for the purpose of the common goal to eliminate animal testing globally and is committed to the development and acceptance of alternative methods.

Does it contain pork? And is it vegan?

Thank you for your question. I'm a beauty advisor for Pierre Fabre USA, Inc. the parent company of Avene. Cleanance HYDRA is free from animal derived ingredients.
