The North Face Betasso Sneaker (Little Kid/Big Kid)

I bought these shoes at the begining of summer for my daughter, we all know how kids go through shoes and how they have to be durable and able to withstand alot. these shoes have been through everything with my daughter including a marathone, she was on my shoulders most of the run but the shoes kept her feet warm and they where comfy for her. they are easy for her to put on and tighten up. She is five years old so being able to get in and of them fast is great. I have washed them twice already and they look like they are still in show room quality meaning even with washing them they got clean and did not fall apart. I rate these shoes as a five for my five year old. she started out in them when she was four.

I bought these shoos for my 10 years old son. It is already a second pair of North Face sneakers I got for him. He used to ruin the general brand shoes I was buying for him in the store within weeks. These sneakers lasted until he outgrew them! Awesome quality. I will buy another pair for the next school year. Absolutely worth the money.The shoelaces are a bit of a disappointment thought. Very stiff - rope-like, hard to tie up. Both times I had to buy different shoelaces, that were much softer and easier to tie. That's why 4 stars instead of 5.

Good looking, rugged, supportive real athletic shoe. My son burns through Nike's. these hold their value till he grows out of them. Hope NF keeps their quality up. They're all I buy.

My kid wore her last pair of North Face tennis shoes almost daily for over a year and they are still in great shape. We bought these because she outgrew the last ones and they are holding up just as well. She has ruined some other shoes by dragging her toes, but these can take it. I really like that they are muted colors since many kids' shoes only come in obnoxious colors or patterns. The bungee laces are quick and easy and hold up well, but these come with regular laces too in case the bungees snap. You can find cheaper tennis shoes, but the quality makes these well worth paying a few dollars more.

These seem to fit my child well. I like that they have a solid sturdy rubber bottom. He wears them everyday now, but I just prefer them during the winter months when he doesn't need boots for school, but the weather is still wet or slushy. I did take the laces out and replace them with bungee laces that don't need tied, and that was a success.UPDATE ( after really inspecting the shoes to see if they were rubbing or too tight ) :After only about a month of real wear, the front rubber is separating from one of the shoes, and also in the toe area on top threading is coming lose. The lace areas are unraveling on the other shoe. I don't consider my child to be any harder on shoes than the next kid. I've NEVER had a pair of shoes for any of my kids do this after such a short time. These are defects I would expect to see at the end of the shoes wear life. The shoes themselves are solid so far, but they shouldn't be starting to fall apart already.

My son loves these shoes. He doesn't like tying shoe strings, but also doesn't want "baby shoes." These work perfect. Fit was accurate. They are showing some signs of wear around the bottom edges. However, he has been on the playground daily. They have also taken a few trips through the creek. I have washed multiple times and they are holding up well.

According to the Northface web site these are suppost to be durable. Well, this is not the case for the pair I purchased for my daughter. After wearing them for 2 weeks the pink paint on the back of both shoes are wearing off. The rubber toe piece has peeled away on one of the shoes. I have contacted Northface to see what warranty I have to get them replaced. If not then I'm stuck with a very expensive, badly crafted, pair of shoes. I dont think I will be buying anymore Nothface shoes in the future. I'm very disapointed because I have used many of their products in the past and they were all well built.
