The batch No 23739 doesn't meet the quality standards. The bottle was sealed but no capsules inside.

THE BEST and you get what you pay for
I always like to check the ingredients because the supplement must contain ONLY what I'm buying with no extras like bulking agents fillers and binders. This company 'TIME HEALTH' delivers on all fronts the best. T hey cost a bit more but you get what you pay for. I have made many purchases from them and will continue to do so - why change to inferior.

The Jury Is Out
I have been in the health supplement business for many years and I have tried so many different brands and supplements over the years. The problem with reviewing some supplements is that it may appear that a product does not seem to have had any noticeable effect. It may strengthen your immune system and be a powerful antioxidant, but it is very difficult to prove anything is happening. The only way you know is by having a condition and observing if there is any noticeable difference when you take the supplement, or by being tested by a doctor for the condition and to be told there has been an improvement. So is the case with this product. I could suggest that it is great for the eyes, a powerful antioxidant, and will help with male fertility, but I cannot prove any of the claims. The only thing I can say is that it has helped my dry eye condition, but I also take Lutein, which also has an effect. Other than the dry eye, I have not noticed any provable difference from using this product.

Happy to find it
Sometimes it is difficult to find Astaxanthin. This will give me 8mg a day instead of 5. It is labelled haematococcus pluvialis which tells me it is exactly what I am looking for. I understand it is good for eye health and has general health benefits, and it doesn't upset my other medication so I take it regularly.

Save money, be healthier and leave the Krill to the penguins, whales and fish.
My wife and I have been taking Krill Oil for several years.Krill is an excellent source of the Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA both of which are believed to be very important in maintaining good health. Multiple benefits of Omega 3 are well researched and documented including heart and circulatory health, Cholesterol management, eyes, brain etc.Why Krill instead of ordinary Fish Oils? Because krill oil also contains the extra component Astaxanthin, which, experts say, is probably the strongest natural anti-oxidant currently known. And apart from its powerful anti-oxidant properties it brings many other health benefits too. However, Krill oil is quite expensive compared to ordinary Fish Oil, plus, there is a growing worry of an emerging green/ecological issue in that many are becoming concerned that the harvesting of large amounts of Antarctic Krill is having a negative impact on the many creatures that rely on it as their main food source such as penguins, seals, whales, fish etc. This pure Astaxanthin from TimeHeath is ‘made’ in the same way that the krill make it, as a by-product of eating a particular plankton algae. Except that it is not extracted from the krill but is obtained naturally from the source by cultivating or ‘farming’ the algae directly, producing world’s richest, purest and most natural form of Astaxanthin. The amount of astaxanthin in these capsules is more than 5 times that which is in our usual krill oil so it makes sense now for us to change to cheaper, ordinary fish oil with high levels of Omega 3s, plus these astaxanthin caps from TimeHealth. This gives us the best of both worlds, more than double the health benefits at half the price we have been paying up to now. A healthier product too (no carrageenen and it’s vegan). Plus, we are leaving all the Krill for the dolphins and their mates. An excellent product, we will be buying this in future.

A Perfect Supplement
I've been taking astaxanthin for over a year now, primarily for its amazing antioxidant effects. It's by far the most powerful antioxidant on the planet - many hundreds of times more potent than its closest rivals in that respect, vitamins C and E. I've tried astaxanthin from a few different supplement manufacturers (always based on purity and potency). Time Health's astaxanthin is of the highest quality and potency (all ingredients are organic), and it doesn't contain any additives whatsoever. Other than the vege-cellulose capsule shells, there's just organic astaxanthin (derived from Haematococcus Pluvialis Microalgae) and organic extra-virgin olive oil (in which the astaxanthin is suspended, allowing better absorption). Nothing else. No flavourings, fillers, binders, bulking agents or other such unnecessary nonsense. Exactly as it should be. Pure quality. At £21.99 for 60 capsules (a 60-day supply), this is excellent value for money. A tenner a month for an organic astaxanthin supplement that does wonders for your health? Can't argue with that. Perfect.

An excellent supplement for skin health
At 37p/capsule these are good value for money, but by no means the cheapest out there. They seem like really good quality and have the typical deep vibrant red colour that astaxanthin is known for.Clinical trials often use 6-8mg dosages so this is well within clinically relevant dosing, which is excellent.Studied benefits include;- General improvement in oxidation and antioxidant profiles- A potential increase in male fertility- A potential increase in blood flow to the eye- An increase in aerobic exercise capacity- A decrease in muscle damage in professional sportspeople- A reduction in wrinkles, skin quality, moisture and elasticityI take this alongside lycopene for supposed UV protection and skin quality improvements. Some research supports the idea that astaxanthin can increase the skin's ability to stave off UV damage from the sun, so this makes it a good backup alongside sunscreen
