Q: Why would you attached the top to the bottom with a tiny screw that will come out when you try to turn the lazy susan?????

The screw is meant to be loose. It only holds the top and bottom together as one unit, not to lock them permanently. that way if you move it from one location to another (table to cabinet) you are only moving one item.

Q: Does anyone no how big the lip at the edge is? I’m getting a piece of stone to go in the middle.

the lip is less than 1/2" high - less than that in width. I use it on my dining table to hold oil, vinegar, pepper mill, salt box, extra pepper and toothpick holder. Very useful and sturdy.

Q: Is this food-safe? I want to use it as a charcuterie board.

I use it as a centerpiece on the table to hold every day items. It has a lip around the edge. While bamboo can be food safe, the same item is available in acacia wood with no lip around the edge. That’s definitely food grade and better as a charcuterie board in my opinion.
