Please note : The rating has been based only on the blu-ray release from PVR. This review is obviously for the blu-ray release, the movie itself warrants a 4 rating. Coming back to the blu-ray, well PVR, congratulations on spoiling yet another one for me ... this is the last time I'm ever going to invest any dough on your shabby releases. It's because of companies like you, the movie industry is getting ripped off due to piracy. In fact, (PVR) should not be allowed to release any blu-rays as it is clear fact that they have absolutely zero know how pertaining to blu-ray technology. One release after another, so many beautiful movies are getting such shabby treatment, it's a pity! Either there are stupid disclaimers, missing 7.1 audio or poorly modified aspect ratio, every release from this company suffers. Reputed studios like Lionsgate should choose wisely to whom to partner with for home video releases. Strictly avoid buying this release even if it's on the lightning deal on Amazon. Invest on a US or UK release & you won't be disappointed.

The story continues and with the fast pace it's going it will be finished with part 2. The future is near and the rebels are nearing the town for freedom, Fighting continues and the story goes on, now what can the Panem's tyrannical president think of next to save his hide. There is a secret but you'll have to wait for the next chapter and conclusion of the hunger games, this has plenty of twist to keep you on your toes so you won't be bored. Munchies and drink time with a full on fabulous show that will have you alert. Relax if you can and watch first class entertainment with the hunger game mockingjay part 1. Enjoy!

Lamentablemente, la saga de "Hunger Games" fue adoptada por la mediocre compañía que edita blu rays en Mexico "On Screen" que es una vergüenza lo que literalmente le hacen al transfer de audio y video en los discos, no hablar de los menús que hasta un niño de 10 años puede crear en cualquier aplicación en el celular, Lionsgate ofrece audio en Dolby atmos y La mejor calidad de imagen en esta versión importada, fans de la saga, no duden en comprar aquí en Amazon toda su colección, y asegúrense de adquirir la versión importada, ya que es mucho mejor que la nacional.

I am simply a huge fan of this movie series. It drives me nuts that Hollywood finds it necessary to split the final book of any big hit series into two parts, but I do like the idea of 4 Hunger Games movies rather than only 3. I haven't read the books so this story has been unfolding on screen for me and I just can't get enough. I can still watch the first Hunger Games over-and-over, and as the next installment hits the big screen I have yet to be disappointed. I was worried this movie would be a bit boring and dull just like the first part of the final books of Harry Potter and Twilight. I am pleased to say this movie delivers!! I was glued to the edge of my seat the entire movie and was definitely not ready for it to end. Part 2 can't come fast enough!! SPOILER ALERT: I was a bit surprised to see the reunion of Katniss and Peta turn so violent. I certainly wasn't expecting him to full on attack her and choke her out. To be honest, i was hoping it was just a dream, but when she wakes up in a hospital bed with a neck brace on I was very intrigued to see how they would explain this sucker punch. I always love a movie where the underdog has to stand up against the oppression of a formidable foe with near hopelessness of success, yet somehow manage to pull it off at the last minute. I really liked the momentum of this story line and how it just kept building while pushing me closer and closer towards the edge of my seat. Really, really can't wait till the final bow!!

This is the third installment of "The Hunger Games" franchise; and while it is a great film, you need to watch the first two installments to best appreciate it. Katniss, along with two other tribute survivors of the Quarterquell, are transported to District 13, where she is reunited with her mother and sister and best friend, Gale. District 13 was thought to have been completely destroyed by forces of the Capitol of Panem under President Snow (Donald Sutherland) but continues to exist as a potent military community deep underground. Katniss is asked by the District 13 leader, President Coin, to be the "Mockingjay" - the symbol of rebellion against the Capitol. After initially refusing, she agrees with the condition that Peeta Mallark and the other Quarterquell survivors be rescued and pardoned. Jennifer Lawrence again delivers a near perfect performance as Katniss; and she is supported by fine performances from Liam Hemsworth as Gale; Josh Hutcherson as Peeta; Woody Harrelson as Haymitch; and Elizabeth Banks as Effie, all of whom reprise their roles from the first two installments. Two new major characters, President Coin and Cressida are played well by Julianne Moore and Natalie Dormer. The film is dedicated to the deceased Phillip Seymour Hoffman, who reprises his role as Plutarch Heavensbee. The plot builds nicely to a totally satisfactory climax and a suitable lead-in to the the fourth and final installment. If you liked the first two movies in the franchise you will love this one
