Wow! Incredibly impressed with quality - 8+ hour assembly
The entire thing is incredibly sturdy. We’ve had two guests stay already and they loved it. I love how I can keep the guest sheets and quilt in the drawers. A great addition to a multi-purpose office/guest room!Took 8+ hours to assemble- need at least 4 hands!

Good purchase
Very difficult to assemble. This took several weekends. Functional is great. The drawers don’t open very smoothly but otherwise quality is good. Great customer service- a few pets came damaged but they were very easy to work with

Exactly what I wanted! Definitely hire a professional to install.
This Murphy bed was exactly what we needed for our guest room/home gym. It looks very nice in person. I was a little worried because so many reviews mentioned that theirs was damaged by the delivery company, but ours arrived in perfect condition, with everything shrink wrapped on a pallet. We hired a professional to assemble and install, and it took him about 10 hours total. I do not recommend attempting to install by yourself.

TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH!
Terrible company to order anything! If you want customers service then try someone else! Product never showed up and communication was terrible to say the least! We will never order from BESTAR again! Shame on you Conandians for a terrible and wasteful experience!.

Very convenient solution for a guest bedroom that doubles as a nursery
Comes unassembled (IKEA-style) in 6 large, very heavy boxes. Be careful to read which of boxes contain assembly instructions and hardware. Although not recommended when assembling particle board material, I (carefully) used a cordless drill set on low torque with correct bits: I was able to put everything together in half the time. But, the material is very heavy (durable) and high quality, so although I assembled it alone, a second strong person who could help lift would have helped my aching back. Took me about 3 hours to build the bookshelf and another 4-5 hours to build and fix the bed to the wall. Includes all mounting hardware and instructions for virtually any wall/stud material - wood, metal, masonry. Do NOT mount it using simple drywall mollies, however, or it will be a dangerous fall and crush safety hazard. We bought a 10" memory gel-foam mattress, but it seems it can take (and balance) virtually anything from 9-12 inches thick. Overall I would recommend.

Assembly is Awful, but End Result is Nice
I was so excited to receive my murphy bed! I brought it two helpers to haul it to my tiny apartment and to assist with assembly. Do not recommend trying this out without at least one other person on hand.DELIVERY: The delivery went well. Coordinated a date with the delivery company to bring it by, and they were pretty flexible. Only difficult piece is that they give you a window of 8 hours for them to arrive, and if you live in a larger building like me, you can only reserve the elevators for a 3-hour window... so it's a little tricky. Bed parts come in a couple of separate boxes. A few of them were quite heavy and definitely needed two people to move.ASSEMBLY: Absolute fiasco. I am very good at putting together furniture, and one of my helpers is a handyman for a living. We were not intimidated by this at all at the beginning. However, assembly took two full days.1) One of the reasons was because our bed set contained some of the wrong hardware. The bolts for the drawer handles were too big, resulting in loose handles. We spent quite a bit of time puzzling over this, thinking it couldn't be the case... but it definitely was. Had to make our first trip to the hardware store to get the correct size.2) Our second trip to the hardware store was our fault. We didn't realize that we were dealing with metal studs, so we had to get some different hardware to bolt this to the wall (we used strap toggles).3) We then discovered that the bolts for the handles to pull the bed down were also too big!! Couldn't stomach yet another trip to the hardware store, so we used a hack saw to cut them down. Was so annoying.4) Another issue was that not all of the holes were drilled into all of the pieces, but that was an easier fix with a drill!USE: The good news is that using this thing is pretty cool. I have really enjoyed having the bed and it looks great in my studio apartment. I got a 10-inch queen size foam mattress; would definitely say that's the maximum thickness you should purchase (it works, and I don't feel the slats). Once you get blankets on there (I sleep with a thicker comforter), it makes it thicker. So....sometimes when I pull the handles down, the mattress stays up and sticks in the bed frame. It eventually comes out and falls into position, but it's a little scary to have the queen size mattress fall in your direction (ha).I would buy this again, but for a more permanent house/location. I live in an apartment that I will eventually have to move out of. I cannot believe assembly was that horrendous, and I am absolutely dreading the day when I have to take this thing apart to move.Hope this helps other prospective murphy-bedders!

So impressed with this bed.
Very pleasing to the eye and durable. It did take all day to put together, but it was definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend it.

So complex to build and even more complex to deliver!
Now that it is all installed in our room it is a fine piece. However, the process to get there was long and hard! The delivery was delayed because the truck drivers had loaded it in the wrong truck. They give you a huge window of when to deliver and you have to be home. We were home all day and it didn’t arrive. I had to find a number and get transferred to the actual delivery company who said “oh yeah we meant to call you!”. Piece came scuffed and damaged. Took probably 8 hours to build. My husband is very competent at building things and it was still a terrible process
