4" x 4" Homax 5504 Wall Patch Self-Adhesive Wall Patch

I used this to patch a 5 inch how from an old junction box. I did not have the ability to add a cross brace in order to patch with a new piece of drywall unless I removed several feet of drywall. This patch stuck on strong and the metal it sturdy and strong. Two thin coats of compound was just about enough to conceal the patch and now that my ceiling is painted the patched area is completely invisible. Saved me a ton of time, labor, and material if I were to patch it without the use of this product. Highly recommend it!

I am doing a big repair job in my bonus room and this is one of the patches I purchased and it worked as it should. When the mud was applied it did not move or bunch up. It dried well too.

Good product. Performed as expected.

After applying the putty this patch is hardly noticeable. All you do is stick the mesh pad that is over it to the wall where the hole is and cover it with putty.

Patch went on nice and smooth. Easy installation and a good price. The metal is a bit thicker than some of the competitors which adds strength but also requires a little bit more work to get the patch in. The money is right and would purchase again.

The tape is supposed to be self adhesive. I pulled the paper off the back of the patch and touched the glue area and my finger didn't stick i realized I purchased an inferior product. I then tried sticking to the drywall and of course it didn't stick. Buyer beware

My problem with this is that it sits on top of the plaster/drywall by design...therefore it's technically impossible to get a flat/smooth finish. The best you can do is a gradual rise...like a small bump/hill on your wall. I ended up scraping it out and just using a lot of Spackle over several days.

Worked perfectly to cover up a huge hole in the wall my son made!
