Expectacular.
Totalmente recomendable. Excelente telefono. 10/10

Good sounds, controls and camera.
Nice phone, not crowded with unusable functions. Intuitive control. Very happy with it after a couple of months

I'm in love - again!
Well it's been 7 days since my HTC 10 arrived from Germany after the shenanigans of HTC UK almost drove me to despair! Delivery was done in 2 working days and I see the UK have once again delayed the release date to a further 17days after I received mine! It cost me more but I'm happy with my purchase. Thank you Amazon.de! My apologies for writing my review in English but sadly I don't speak German and live in the UK. Well, there is no feeling of regret at my insistence in acquiring a HTC 10 from another source! The phone has gone from the feeling of excitement when I first held the HTC 10 to one of respect and adulation the more I have used it. It is an absolutely magnificent cell phone and quite deserving of the title, "The Best Yet" - and what's even better is, I don't have to look at someone's overpriced half eaten fruit! It doesn't have the gimmicks either like a competitors curled edge glass which seems to start apps off willy nilly when accidentally touched or held wrong and becomes downright annoying after a short while. (I have tried both competitors flagship offerings for an extended period) The display could be better in bright sunlight, but so could most other cellphones I've seen! It is adjustable and I've seen recommendations to change to the RGB format under personal profiles. I haven't tried this yet so can't comment. The camera is capable of taking some stunning pictures and any failures, I feel, fall squarely on the shoulders of the photographer, rather than the HTC 10! Having photographed in some fairly windy conditions gave me a healthy respect for the built-in OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) and even it couldn't completely overcome a flower being tossed around in a stiff breeze but my successes were greater than my failures - and that was using the standard HDR Auto mode. The low light indoor photographs are very impressive too, even without using the flash! The front 'selfie' camera comes with OIS which is unusual on a front facing camera. Not being a selfie fanatic, I've only used it once and the result was fine. The fingerprint scanner is a revelation - I have 2 other phones (a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium & a HTC One M9+) using the fingerprint security technology but neither has the ease of use of the HTC 10 - usually it reads the fingerprint first time where on the other phones I usually end up keying in a code after several failed tries! Battery wise, it comes with a battery that will last over a day with 'normal' use - on my full day photographic excursions where I was using the camera flat out, it lasted the full day and required recharging in the evening. It comes with a Qualcomm approved Quick Charge 3 wall charger which has it fully charged in just over an hour. Sound wise, it comes with HTCs' Boomsound with an upper front facing speaker & the lower speaker facing down at the bottom edge. Sound has always been a plus feature with HTC since the M7 and the new HTC 10 is no exception - the sound quality is excellent and the supplied 'hi-res' in ear headphones are a bonus. (not supplied in the USA) HTC have come up with a winner with the 10 and its' "back to basics" approach to the Android OS is refreshing. If you want to load the old style Gallery instead of using Google Photos, you can - it's your choice. It is not overloaded with 'bloatware' apps that use up memory but can't deleted. Everything seems to be so much more efficient on this phone than my previous phones (mentioned above) to the extent that it is noticeable and therefore a pleasure to use. Yep, I'm definitely in love again! As you can no doubt see, I heartily recommend the HTC 10 to any prospective buyers. Added to that I also recommend Amazon Germany who have treated me with respect, helped me when needed and made my buying experience a highly pleasurable one. And no, I don't work for Amazon or HTC - I'm a technology 'geek' from the UK who is over 70 years old who appreciates good quality products and great service. October 2016 – almost 6 months!: Well here I am, nearly 6 months down the line and still have my HTC 10 as my primary phone and I'm still as enthusiastic about it as I was when I got it! A couple of months back I ran into what I thought was my first problem. My HTC 10 started dropping the wifi signal so I was forever waiting for it to reconnect. I Googled the problem hoping for a solution but discovered I wasn’t the only one having the problem! Luckily I do have some fairly up to date phones from other manufacturers (a Sony Z5 Premium and an Oppo Find 7) so I hauled them out and discovered they were having the same problem. Some more research indicated it could be a router problem – I live in a rented room with WiFi supplied and the landlord is a retired employee of the wifi service provider, BT, who can do no wrong in his eyes. To his credit, he did get a newer model BT router, but the problem persisted. In desperation I purchased a TP-Link Archer VR900 router which had very good reviews and been responsible for curing similar problems encountered by other users. I lied a bit to my landlord telling him I had the router on review and it was begrudgingly installed. The improvement was immediate – double the speed and the signal range almost doubled, too. Since installation, a week and a half ago, I have not had a single ‘loss of connection’ warning! Problem solved - now to figure out how to get the landlord to keep using the new router? Another niggling little problem I noticed was an occasional slight hesitation when it was loading or running apps. I eventually pinpointed it to the MicroSD card I was using as internal memory, which was class 10, U1 so I purchased a Class 10, U3 card and formatted it as internal memory and it now now runs hesitation free. Otherwise all is running as it should with my HTC 10 managing to curb my longing for something new due to boredom. My enthusiasm for the HTC 10 is undiminished and luckily neither the Note 7 nor the iPhone 7 managed to tempt me away from the 10! The Note 7 for well publicised reasons and the iPhone 7 has been rather a damp squib with even the brainwashed having doubts about it. Looks like I’m going to be sticking to the 10 till the 11 is available although I must admit the new Pixel XL did turn my head for a short while. Logically though it is the Android v7, Nougat, that is attracting me more than anything and HTC are updating the 10 to Nougat imminently anyway. The love affair continues..... August 1st 2017. My HTC 10 is still going strong - no problems with battery life - have upgraded to Android Nougat (V7.0) in January - sadly HTC UK/DACH have not kept up to date with the security updates. The HTC 10 is a lovely phone and still one of my favourites! I now also have the new flagship HTC U11 which is a stunning replacement. I have found the depth of focus seems to be better on the HTC 10 on still shots but the U11 walks it on video and some of the new features. HTC 10 is still in my top 2!
