I hand wash and dry them right away b/c I care for my utensils and don't let them sit in water or run them in the dishwasher so I can't attest to rusting or spotting [other reviewers seem to think spotting has something to do with the knives and not their dishwasher but that's another issue for another day]. I've had them for almost a month and look like the day I got them! The scissors cut great as well as the cheese knife.. I'm not sure the purpose of the pizza knife b/c you have to use a sawing motion which messes up the cheese and toppings so I just stick with an actual rolling pizza cutter. I think the knife holder is hideous but that's just my opinion and has nothing to do with the quality of the knives.
