IBM Lotus Notes 8.5 User Guide

Although I have just started reading through this book I am a newcomer to Lotus Notes and have found this book to be really helpful and easy to follow. Good vlue.

Das Geld, das man für diese Ware ausgibt, steht in keinem Verhältnis zu der Information, die man erhält.Ich empfehle von dem Kauf abzusehen.

I hired into a large company that used Lotus Notes exclusively. And basically received no training or instriction on how to use it.I always had Outlook for work previously and use Thunderbird for personal use.That being said, I did manage to fumble around enough to make Lotus work, but this book (and the web) made a capable user in a few weeks. Enough to impress my co-workers who had used Lotus Notes exclusively.The book could go a bit deeper in some areas, but all in all, if you are stuck with Lotus Notes, it is a good resource.

I found this to be a decent intro to Notes - skimming the surface on many facets of the software - but not a reference for an advanced user. Limitations may also be somewhat due to Notes capability (I used Notes in the 90's, but am a lifetime MS Mail or Outlook user). I find Outlook to be more intuitive, so my comments on this book may somewhat reflect my difficulty with the logic in Notes.The book is clearly written, with screenshots and neatly-outlined explanations.

When they say lite, they aren't kidding. Nothing here you can't get from on screen directions. A waste of money
