Bob's Red Mill Organic Medium Grind Cornmeal, 24 OZ

"zippity do dah my oh my what a wonderful day" look what I get today along with yellow stone ground corn meal. My youth's remembrance of southern meals never err forgotten.

The cornmeal is excellent if you want a healthy version of corn bread. The recipe is right on back of the pack of cornmeal. Directions are easy to follow and you could use the recipe for muffins as well.

Delicious and versatile

After looking through several stores - it was difficult to find organic corn meal. This is a great product for corn bread, etc..

This cornmeal is great. Try the recipe on back of the package for cornbread, I make a lot of different cornbread recipes and this one is really really good.

I usually buy corn meal only to make holiday cornbread. I like slightly coarse, not cake-ish (fine) and gritty (coarse), texture to my cornbread so if that’s you, medium stone grind is the type of corn meal you want. The corn meal itself is 5-stars.The bag is a different story. Previous bags were more compact with no seal but I was able to use an elastic band to wrap up the bag. The newer bags now have a seal which I was excited to buy to try out. The seal part is pretty much useless. The way they made the bag, before you open it, corn meal will be moving around inside and getting into the seal itself that once you open it, the seal doesn’t close all the way. I even tried to see if I could carve out excess corn meal that got stuck in the seal but it’s still a pretty flimsy seal. Hopefully they’ll go back and redesign the seal so that it’s useable.

I used it for coating fish for frying.
