Can this be used in a hot butter machine like they have at the movies to add over too your allready popped poocorn

I don't see why not. I put some in a little jar and poked a hole in the lid to shake on for extra butter flavor. It's good stuff and my gallon has lasted a long time making popcorn in the popcorn machine like twice a week.

Does this work with a whirlypop popper?

Yes, this would work great in the whirlypop. Use it just like cooking oil. It's very tasty and even better with Flavacol or other flavored adds!

Is this oil for "butter" topping, or for cooking the popcorn kernels in?

We love this popcorn oil! We use half coconut oil and half popcorn oil to pop the kernels in an electric Stir Crazy popcorn popper. Then after it's popped, (and we usually only have a few kernels that didn't pop) I add butter flavored salt (the orange kind) and some table salt then drizzle this popcorn oil over the popcorn, toss and drizzle and salt again to get the bottom covered too. I'm about to order more soon!

Is the coconut oil better to use when popping or the butter oil

Coconut oil has a higher burn point. I’ve used both. The flavored oil from Snappy works good. I had a commercial machine that we had to adjust the temperature down to use the Snappy oil.

This oil is a must for movie theater tasting popcorn. Combine this with Flavacol and your popcorn will be the best you ever had! (2-3 tablespoons oil, 1/2 cup kernels, 1/2 to 3/4 tsp Flavacol for popcorn perfection!) This oil is made from soybeans not coconut oil which is frequently recommended. An important difference is these oils is the amount of saturated fat in them. Coconut oil has 12 grams of saturated fat; Snappy oil from soybeans has 2 grams of saturated fat! Saturated fat is a major factor in the development of heart disease, our number 1 killer. So I only use this Snappy Butter Burst Popcorn Oil, especially since my family eats a lot of popcorn. Try it; you'll like it!

This popcorn oil has a nice buttery flavor and makes the popcorn smell amazing while it’s cooking. It pops evenly and gives the kernels that classic golden color. The flavor is good, but a little goes a long way since it’s pretty rich. It’s a solid option for at-home movie nights and easy to use with any popcorn maker.
