Excellent Budget CD Transport
I’m really pleased with this Sony DVD player’s performance as a CD transport paired with an external DAC. It offers both optical and coaxial digital outputs, giving you flexibility in how you connect it to your system. The loading speed is impressively fast, and the remote control is well-designed and responsive. At this price point, it’s hard to beat for pure audio playback through a quality DAC. Happy to recommend it as a budget-friendly CD transport, though I haven’t tested its DVD playback capabilities.

Ich wollte einen unkomplizierten DVD-Player, um meine vorhandene DVD-Sammlung weiterhin am Fernseher nutzen zu können. Der Sony war schnell angeschlossen und über HDMI sofort einsatzbereit. Die Bedienung ist angenehm einfach und DVDs werden zuverlässig abgespielt. Das 1080p-Upscaling ist bei älteren Filmen eine nette Ergänzung, und über den USB-Anschluss lassen sich auch weitere Inhalte wiedergeben. Praktisch finde ich außerdem, dass das Gerät auch als CD-Player genutzt werden kann. Wer keinen unnötigen Schnickschnack braucht, sondern einfach DVDs und CDs abspielen möchte, bekommt hier ein solides und unkompliziertes Gerät.
