Good
Pretty much a cheaper version of tums. Don't work as well or taste as good but does the job if you take a few extra.

Cheap, yes. You get what you pay for.
There is no denying these are some of the cheapest antacid chewables around. But are they really a good value?I purchased these after I found I was needing an antacid often enough to look for one that is not only effective, but also didn't cost a fortune. Pepcid chewables worked great for evening heartburn, but are pretty pricy. These are cheap, but you need up to 4 tablets, and at least for me, they don't knock 100% of the acid down. They also contain dextrose. If you're like me, you might be in bed with your teeth already brushed when you find you need an antacid. Then I started doing some research on OTC antacids. Calcium carbonate, the active ingredient in these, lasts longer than other acid neutralizing chewables, like those containing sodium bicarbonate and magnesium hydroxide. A few brands add in some digestive enzymes to counter the way calcium carbonate slows down the digestive process. While they are slightly more expensive than Good Sense and Tums, I now prefer taking another brand that not only includes enzymes but also has xylitol instead of dextrose, so taking at bedtime is better on my teeth. These Good Sense tabs are good to have around during the day, but I'll probably depend more on the other brand (Axia3).And if you take products like the above, you probably already know the following, but just in case...Antacids can change the way your body absorbs the other medicines you are taking. It is best to take any other medicine either 1 hour before or 4 hours after you take antacids. Antacids taken with OTC drugs such as Sudafed and Claritin increase absorption of those OTCs, so it's like taking too much of them. When antacids are taken on an empty stomach they provide acid reduction for 20 to 40 minutes only because the antacid is rapidly emptied into the duodenum. When taken after a meal, (approximately 1 hour afterwards) antacids reduce acid for at least three hours since food from the meal slows emptying of the antacid from the stomach.

Generic antacid tablets
These generic brand of antacid tablets are smaller (i.e. with less calcium carbonate) than the generics I buy at Target that have 750mg rather than the 500 mg these have. I have acid reflux and tend to go through a lot of antacid tablets. These smaller tablets are easier to chew than my Target ones, but I have to take more of them so it's a bit of a wash.I am not fond of the peppermint flavor. The assorted fruit flavor is okay but I prefer the Target brand in berry or tropical. These also seem a little expensive considering they are only 500mg and this particular one does not appear to be eligible to use as an add-on to make your order of other products reach the free shipping level.Given all that, I'm not sure I would recommend these antacid tablets.
