12V Trickle Charger, RoyPow 3-Amp Battery Maintainer for 12 Volt LiFePO4 Lithium Battery with Alligator Clamp and Ring Terminal

So I have a home built lithium battery in my golf cart that I use for actually driving the cart. But I wanted a separate 12v power source for lights/radio/etc. I picked up an LiFePo4 12.8v battery for those things and it requires a LiFePo4 specific charger so I got this RoyPow charger.I recognized the name because a lot of golf cart owners buy RoyPow batteries to put in their carts. I actually built my pack before RoyPow became available or I might have put their battery in my cart for that too. People have had good success with the RoyPow battery packs so I figured I'd give this charger a try.It charges my LiFePo4 battery well. No issues. I charge overnight so I plug in whenever I'm ready to and it's finished by morning. No issues, just easy.It came with ring terminals and clips and I REALLY, REALLY LIKE the fact that the color coded wire has the correct colors... I had a different charger a while ago and at the quick disconnect plug the wire color would change... It always unnerved me to connect a red wire to the negative lead so I was very happy to see RoyPow took a moment to just do it right.Not much else to say, it charges fine then turns off. It has the connections I need with quick disconnects. Does what it's supposed to

Good simple charger. Does what its supposed to. Charger stopped charging just before the 2 year warranty was up so thankfully they sent another one right away. Excellent customer service. So I would recommend this product.

The first one I bought got too hot the second one only worked 3 times and died

I bought (4) of these chargers and all of them perform well. You don't have to power cycle these units, you can charge a battery, come back another time and plug in, start another charging session without having to reboot the unit every time. You would be surprised how many other chargers require you to do that, very tedious. You might be wondering why I don't rate this as 5 stars? It has one issue that is workable but a little annoying. These battery charger unit itself can reach temperatures of over +140F while charging. I know because I used a temperature probe to measure it. It's not hot enough to start a fire or destroy the unit. I've had them run this hot for hours while charging, doesn't seem to damage them. But still, +140F is still hot enough to burn you if you aren't careful where you touch the unit. Other than this precaution, the charger works as advertised and I am still pleased with the product.

I got this charger today and hooked it to a 12V 10Ah lithium fish finder battery. It does charge the battery but gets really hot. My infrared thermometer reads about 180 degrees. That's pretty hot and is worrisome. I'm afraid to leave it unattended. It does cool off once the battery is charged though.

not worth the money. bad instructions, will not charge battery full

I was ask by their support the buy this charger to wake up the broken battery they sent me. Since the battery charger didn't fix the battery I'm returning all their products to them.

Bought this with the Roypow 12ah for my kayak system and it works as it should does get hot when in use so would charge it out side.
