Orange Peel Pro: TimeSaver Extraordinaire!
We eat a lot of oranges at our house. I usually buy oranges by the box at Costco and then peel all of them at once and put them into a Plastic Storage Container. It's a tedious job. I really hate how long it takes and it is so sticky and messy. It is truly a job I loathe. But when the oranges are pre-peeled and easily accessible, it encourages us to eat them. And that's a good thing.I saw a video ad for the Orange Peeler Pro and knew immediately that I had to get one. What a game-changer this is! Now, peeling oranges is quick and fun. Even my husband was impressed. In 5 minutes, I can peel the same quantities of oranges that used to take me an hour. With this machine, I peeled 18 oranges in 12 minutes!!! OMG, what a joyful experience.Note that the product is made in Spain and the directions are in Spanish. Some English is provided but the setup directions are not entirely clear. We sat there Googling words to completely figure it out. There is a great video on YOUTUBE of a guy showing you how to run the oranges through the machine but nowhere were there clear directions for the setup. Still, we figured it out. Once you understand the settings, the rest is easy!I now position the machine at the edge of my sink so that the funnel roles out the orange skins directly into the sink. Otherwise, they end up on the floor. When I'm through, I just use the faucet hose to wash everything down.I love, love, love this product! Greatest addition to my kitchen arsenal of tools in quite some time!Update: I've been using my Pelomatic for over a year now. I use it almost exclusively to peel oranges and can do an entire Costco-size box (13 lbs) in mere minutes. Some of the parts to the Pelomatic are cheaply made plastic but I was so excited to find that I could get a replacement "probe tube" that fits over the blade for only $6.50 from a company that is the exclusive US Distributor (USA Limited, LLC in Georgia). Delivery was very fast and they were great to work with. All-in-all, this is still one of my favorite small appliances in my kitchen! I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Stopped working completely after two uses
Worked perfectly for two uses (a total of 4 fruits peeled.) After that, it stopped working completely without explanation. There is very limited support/troubleshooting information available online. Pretty terrible performance for a $180+ machine. Spend your money elsewhere.

Fantastic electric peeler, well worth the price
I have owned the Pelamatic Orange Peeler Professional for 3 months and I truly love this gadget! It's easy to use, it's fun to stand back and watch it work, and it does an amazing job on what I need most, which is peeling apples and potatoes. This peeler has saved me tons of time and effort in making mashed potatoes for a crowd, and processing bushels of apples for applesauce. And it works really fast. It can peel 3 dozen (36) medium to large apples in under 8 minutes, compared to using a hand peeler, which takes me about 40 - 45 minutes and afterwards my hand is really tired and sore! Another great thing about the Pelamatic is that it can peel juicy, thin-skinned items such as pears, kiwis, and tomatoes, while other peelers only work if the fruits and veggies are firm. On the downside, the Pelamatic does NOT core or slice apples, so that has to be done separately. Also, there always remains a small portion of peeling on the top and bottom, so that has to be removed by hand. The high cost of the Pelamatic might also be an issue - this electric peeler is quite pricey when compared to others on the market, most of which are mechanical, hand-crank types. But for me, the Pelamatic's ease of use, speed, and reliability make it worth every cent. I suggest watching a video on youTube (as I did) to see what this thing can do and yes, it really is that easy, that fast, that versatile, and works that well! Clean up is easy, too. Very highly recommended if you have lots of peeling to do - I just can't say enough good things about the Pelamatic!

Ease of use
It peels with great speed, Just used it for the first time. Did Grapefruit, lemon, potato for test. Worked amazingly well. Fun to use and entertaining to see in action. Pricey, but appears to built well.

Very Fast Peeler
The Pelamatic Orange Peeler Pro is a wonderful peeler; it really works well. The probe tube (cutting guide tube) can be removed by pulling it out, and so can the trident (the tube containing the three stainless steel spikes at the base of the machine) by pulling it upwards. These, that I can see, are the only parts that appear to be removable to clean.

Awesome peeler...
If you peel a lot of oranges or other round fruit, this is a must-have appliance. It's almost magical to watch the peel disappear as the fruit spins around. I only have two problems: 1) It's pretty expensive, but I guess that's relative and 2) I wish there was an easier way to adjust the peel thickness. Overall, if you're willing to spend the money, it's really nice to have.

Super disappointed!!!!!
We ordered this to use on a everyday bases. It DID NOT peel the potato's but halfway, and when you set it to both directions, it would eat the potato up at the lower end, plus I was using small to medium potato's. Was super disappointed in this product and it's way over priced for what it does. There is no way to adjust the height of the bottom and the top doesn't go high enough. Was extremely noisy and sounded like it was grinding on the inside. They also charged us a $33.00 restocking fee when we returned it as defective. DO NOT RECOMMEND this product. I'll never order from this company again and do not recommend them or their products.
