Excellent Backdraft Damper
High quality backdraft damper valve that is worth every penny. The build quality is solid and the function of the backdraft doors is smooth and silent. I am able to easily blow the damper doors open with my own breath and the doors work perfectly with the kitchen exhaust fan that this was installed above. Additionally, the damper valve assembly did not contort its form or warp in any way when installed. Again, solid construction. Make sure to install in the correct orientation so the damper doors will open and close with gravity (no spring is used). Made in USA (Idaho, I believe) When shopping around at Home depot and Lowes they only carried very low quality damper valves that did not function correctly, and appeared to barely hold together. Save the headache and don't buy low quality stuff that will not work, even when newly installed. Very satisfied with this product.

Solid, well made
Had to mount this appropriately 8ft above the stove exhaust fan. Was worried if it would function properly that far away, but it works flawlessly even on the lowest speed. Opens and closes smoothly and quietly every time.

Nicely built
I installed a blower over the oven do it yourself style. I ordered this piece so that the wind wouldn’t blow back through the vent or make clapping noises. This piece is really well-made smart design that uses gravity to close the flaps with some nice padding so it doesn’t make any noise. I have to say it was pretty satisfying to install this nifty baffle.

Superior Product
This is a better made product than its competitors. Rather than a simple butterfly, this is a canted by wing with a serious member supporting the backbone of the flaps. It has a far more robust structure, and the valving is engineered so that the opposing wings cannot rattle. Foam around the lip of the baffles contact area insures quality seal.

Very good quality and tight.
I installed this for my kitchen stove exhaust hood. There was no backdraft stopper and cold air was coming through. Not anymore.

Perfect for what we needed!
Exactly what we needed. None of the big box stores carry these dampers for a 7” tube. Glad we were able to order on Amazon
