I've only had it for a couple weeks. It turns on, was calibrated and takes accurate readings. Directions are easy to understand and use. It even comes with a nice little carrying case if you're carrying it around with you everyday

The most inaccurate low budget ppm meter I’ve ever used, and believe me I’ve used a lot of these cheap things. This one will be reading 1811 ppm. Take it out of the water, tap it on the wall bc I know what it’s reading is not accurate. Put the ppm meter back in the water after a solid wall tap, reads 1934. Thanks, 80 ppm monopotassium phosphate over my target number because this thing is a POS. Don’t buy it. I, as a broke ass individual, is telling you it’s worth it to own the bluelabs meter. Not the stick one, but the one with the probes on cords attached to the display. I hope this helps someone not only save $8 or $11 or whatever this pos costs.

Since these are “inexpensive” pens I bought two. Mostly because your meter never dies at a convenient time. In this instance it was a good thing I bought two. The first one was reading 44.9F. Push the button to switch to Celsius and it says 23.0C... Hmmm? So I’m swapping that one for another one as the second unit seems to be reading accurately. The directions state that the unit can be calibrated. Yet offer no guidance on how to accomplish the calibration. Nor does it state what calibration solution should be used. It does state that it is factory calibrated though. All in all a decent unit. Sadly, in this day and age new does not mean works. Make sure to test it some way. Even the spare for the shelf ;)

Some personal advice spend the money for a better TDS EC meter. They are garbage out of the three that were bought ,myself and two friends two out of the 3 will not calibrate because the buttons don’t work properly. THEY DO NOT COME CALIBRATED. The third one would calibrate, but would only stay calibrated for about a week, do not waste your time with this product. It has cheap components and is not worth the stress if you’re going to use an ECTDS meter spend the money don’t be cheap. I did that and I’m regretting it tremendously. Here’s a picture of what happens 16 days with a junk TDS EC meter? I don’t fully blame the meter I blame myself for being stupid enough to buy something for $13. I would say if you’re serious into hydroponics, don’t take the cheap route.

Needed a new TDS meter as the previous one I had started going faulty, and this appears to be the superior choice. For price it's a great deal, very accurate readings and exactly what I needed to make sure the water I am filtering is actually getting filtered as needed.

When I first tried it out the readings weren't very accurate and it errored out when testing tap water. I replaced the battery and it works great, very consistent. The good thing is the batteries are inexpensive, worth it.
