Developed as both an air superiority fighter and a long-range naval interceptor, Grumman’s F-14 Tomcat was the U.S. Navy’s primary fighter from 1974 until 2006. Over 700 were built. The F-14 flew its first combat missions shortly after its initial deployment in late 1974, flying in support of the American withdrawal from Saigon. In 1981 it drew first blood, as two F-14s from VF-41 downed two Libyan Su-22s. The plane compiled a notable combat record for the United States in both Gulf Wars and NATO actions in Bosnia. Planes sold to the Shah of Iran prior to his ouster remain the last F-14s in active service, as the U.S. Navy retired it in October 2006. This F-14 pilot’s flight operating handbook was originally produced by the U.S. Navy. It has been slightly reformatted but is reproduced here in its entirety. It provides a fascinating view inside the cockpit of one of history’s great planes. Interesting read for would be pilots

If you are a Tomcat fan, you need to add this to your collection. It doesn't stop here, there are many other titles as well.

It is what it says it is.
I purchased this as a lead up to the DCS Heatblur F-14, I wanted a copy of the F-14 flight manual that is available for free online and was hoping that this would be a good stand-in since it wasn't really feasible for me to print out 900+ pages of manual and I desperately wanted a physical copy. For those of you who are considering purchasing this product, you should know that volume one (this book) is for the F-14A, not the B model, or some sort of middle ground (Like the A+.) Despite that, it is -very- informative, if also -horrendously- dry. It is exactly what it is, an aircraft manual for a 1970s analog 4th generation fighter aircraft. Some more depth would help though, I'm certain. It contains a lot of information, and I'm not going to pretend like I've read it yet or was a turkey pilot, so I can't even tell you for sure what this manual does and doesn't have in it. Though, most of the information is freely accessible online through declassified flight manuals. Check reddit, you'll find it in a jiffy. I also haven't gotten Volume 2 yet, and I'm curious to see if it covers the F-14B, or is a continuation of this manual. I'll leave a review for the second volume once I receive it and have a chance to go over it. Again though, this manual is -horrendously- dry, and if you got it for the same reason I did you may want to find a study group. As silly as that feels to write.

Exactly what it's cover says: it's a flight manual that covers how to fly a Tomcat. If you are truly avid fan of the F-14, this is for you. The first book covers the major components of the F-14, and the second book is about the weapons systems and other electronics.

Confusione
Ho gia altri manuali di questo genere della periscope e sono tutti buoni e completi. Questo è inutile,non ha senso,le pagine sono tutte incasinate e mischiate,non c'è ordine logico nella descrizione dei sistemi,non ha ne capo ne coda,sembra che avevano il pacco delle fotocopie del manuale originale ma.che gli è caduto a terra e si sono mischiate tutte le pagine. Inutile.
