is this original MOD time timer?

Yes, this product is the same as our original MOD Time Timer, just offered in different colors and without the silicone case.

This timer is running slow. is that typical? how can i fix or should i replace?

If you have inserted fresh batteries and timed the Time Timer MOD against a stop watch and it is falling short of +/- 20 to 30 seconds, please contact us at AMZsupport@timetimer.com for additional support.

how long is timer when it goes off? 6 sec? 20-40 sec, 60 sec?

You can choose the increment up to 60 minutes. The markings on the timer is in minutes. So, I don't think you'd be able to go down to 6 seconds.

Unlike the product photo, there is a big gap on face of the timer to accommodate the dial. Is this a design change or is my unit counterfeit?

THE best for my kids of all ages! The visual is so easy to use, the battery lasts long and the size is just perfect for all of our hands. I have it with a rubber sleeve that I wouldn'T want to miss. Also: we all love the lively colour! THe battery life, alarm and reliability are all very good.
