It hasn’t stood the test of time yet but it is robust, a lot less fragile than the buckle it replaced. Because of this you need quite a bit of strength to release it but hopefully this will work better through use. Very easy to fit. Overall very pleased but gave it 4 rather than 5 because of the difficulty in release.

Broke the male part of one of the buckles on my old but much loved bag. These were the right dimensions but it wouldn’t fit the existing female part. On examination I saw that this was because the central guide bit was too thick. Cut it off completely and it seems to work fine. A neater but much more expensive solution would have been to find someone with a sewing machine sturdy enough to sew on a new piece of webbing for the bought matching female part. Buckles do seem very strong.

I have worn a kilt since I was at school however as an adult I only wear it for special occasions. I needed it for my granddaughters weding so when I tried it on I found I had expanded. There was not enough time to go to a tailor's so my wife found these which did the trick. The kilt fitted round the waiste!!
