These fans are the nicest I have tried. I recently bought an Antec P100 quiet case and wanted to replace the standard 120mm fan that came with it with 2 140mm fans in the front. I like how these fans operate at extremes. If my computer is sitting idle, they are stopped. When I overclock and run the CPU at 100%, they can keep up and help maintain a safe temp. I even like the fact that they are grey and do not have flashy LEDs. They sit behind the front grill behind a door, and the blades are easy to see if I want to. And, they are built to last. And, I like to keep my computer on, so it feels more energy efficient to have them off. Also, I did daisy chain the two together, so that was a nice touch. Finally, I like the price which is really good for a PWM fan with no LEDs.A few caveats -My Asus motherboard has an optimization mode setting that generates a fan curve. Unlike my other fans, this does not generate a good control curve. So, I simply put it on PWM control with a standard or quiet curve setting.I almost returned it because the fan was too thick for my case screws. It is 27mm thick and my Asus screws are 25mm long. After some research and a wasted trip to a PC supply store, I learned that these are also called radiator screws. And that I needed #6-32 1 1/4" screws, which is available at the local hardware store as a pack for just over $1. Also, even though the hard drive cage seemed to be in the way, I was able to install the fans without a problem. So glad I didn't give up!I am happy with this purchase. These are quality fans for less.

I just received this product yesterday. It was delivered on time, and is exactly what I expected based on the description. 140mm PWM case fan with a 4 pin connection, not a three pin with a 4 pin molex. I've had that happen as well. Installation was straight forward, and while the fan itself did not have arrows for the exhaust air direction, the box did. This left the guess work out, and installation simple.After installation, I went into the BIOS just to test the fan noise at different speeds. I cranked the settings as high as they would go and did not find the noise distracting. Any time my process/GPU is under load I usually have headphones or speakers on. The little noise this fan did make at full speed in either case would not be noticeable. Some reviewers may be testing this in dead silence and therefore find it to be too loud. This fan works for me needs.For the price I paid and the size of fan, the noise at full throttle is very acceptable. For my typical web-browsing or work needs, the fan is typically not moving using my settings. Even if the fan kicks on, I found myself having to check while working to see if it was moving or not. Only at top speed could I hear the fan, and that was because I was paying attention. Any other heavy GPU/CPU loads which would have kicked the fan on, I would be heavily distracted and therefore would not even notice what little noise it did make.For air movement, it's not a leaf-blower, so don't expect that. At base operating speeds, and top settings I can feel air being pushed out of the fan. Some commented that this doesn't push enough air, but it was adequate for my needs. It's an $8 fan, so the product has more than met expectations.The blade color is a vibrant white. I do get concerned about what this will look like with time, but that will be true for any plastic. For now, it looks great contrasted with the case it's in. Build quality is nice, it doesn't feel flimsy at all. It would be nice if the cables had a shrink coating or mesh cover, but for the $8 I don't expect such things.

I needed a very quiet fan to help push some hot air away from a Tube Audio Amplifier in my bookshelf. I bought 2 other USB powered fans on Amazon, one described as Ultra Quiet, and the other "Whisper Quiet". Both of them were loud enough to be heard over the music coming out of my speakers at volumes enough to be heard down the hall. In desperation, I thought about a computer case fan, and bought this. This is indeed "ultra quiet". If I close my door, and if the AC/Heat is off, I can barely hear this if I am standing right next to it. Once anything else happens in the room, any sound created by this fan vanishes. Because I am not running it in a computer case, I needed to buy a 12v power supply, but Amazon sells those, and they can control 2 fans. I now have a fan that turns on when I turn on the stereo, and it cannot be heard even at low music volumes. This one is a good size (140mm), but its perfect for my needs. I might buy a smaller one and mount it to the bottom of the shelf above my amp, with this one sitting on the side.

Amazing fans. I refuse to run anything other than Arctic PWM fans in my builds. Noctua is not only significantly more expensive, but looks worse (Arctic cables are unfortunately unsleeved, so Noctua has that going for them), and does not perform any better. Arctic fans are always dead silent (when they do ramp up high, all you hear is the sound of air flowing) and actually may perform slightly better than Noctua. I've had both Noctua and Arctic fans in my cases and prefer Arctic due to aesthetic, performance, and cost. Also, these fans work very well for water cooling applications. Of the many water-cooled builds I've used these on, they have kept my temperatures and sound levels very low. I have six of these 140s running on a 420mm radiator right now at 60% and they're barely audible (only a whisper of air movement is present). Arctic is an excellent company. They also make the leading thermal pastes and pads, so it's no surprise their fans are equally excellent.

I bought it in may 2018 when i assembled my PC. I ran these fan at full on DC speed for everyday for 2 whole year while working. Of course, i had no knowledge that i can control the fan according to demand and make a profile in my ASUS motherboard bios settings. But, these fans survived that too and is still working. :D

Catching up with reviews and I hit my go to fan range.It’s black and white, has no LEDs and isn’t silent (although the F silent range is for lower cooling performance).It is not noisy though, looks ok if you don’t mind black & white, and supplies good airflow. And all that at a price that is half the amount of comparable performance and sound level equivalents. It also exceeds the performance of others in the same price bracket.I think that for all the PCs I’ve built, upgraded or refurbished for friends and family in the last 10 years 95% of them have at least 1 Arctic F range in there and they have never failed.Yes there are better performing fans on airflow and sound levels, but these can be 5 times the cost. And yes if you want a certain look and LEDs these probably won’t meet your needs.But if you are upgrading stock fans that came with your case, filling up those extra slots or replacing a faulty fan and the look works for you (if even an issue) I don’t think you can beat Arctic’s F range on price v performance.Specifically on the F14 compared to F12 as you would expect you get increased airflow at lower rpm and therefore lower sound levels.A good quality buy at a great price and therefore this range remains by go to fan range for general cooling needs.

Why would people buy 40 dollar fans when you get one of these for less than 7 bucks? Sure it doesn't have RGB but really who needs RGB when you are looking at your computer screen and not your computer. These push more air than almost all of the expensive fans are barely audible at max speed. If they stay as silent as they are now for a few years these might be the best fans I have ever bought. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they are just a bit thicker than all the other 140mm fans I have which required different screws to get them on the front of my case as intakes than the screws which came with the case and have fit at least 3 different brands of fans just fine. Good thing I had some longer ones or it would have been a PITA to go out and buy some screws just for these fans as all cases come with enough screws and these fans come with the common case fan type screws.Definitely buy these instead of overpriced fans which don't push as much air, are louder, and especially over RGB ones which you pay for lights that no one really looks at except when you point them out and your friend feels obliged to say, "neat".If you do buy them and want to put them on the front of your case make sure you have some longer screws than the standard long ones while if you are using them for the back or top of your case the included screws with your case and these fans are sufficient.

I'm building an ultra silent pc, and being a fan of arctic cooling products and liking their clean black and white colourscheme thought I would swap my f14pwm fans for this silent version.It's possibly my fault for not reading the description properly, but surprisingly the silent fans are not pwm, they're three pin dc fans. I just assumed everything was pwm by now.So while they are quiet, they're not actually as quiet as the pwm version which is able to spin at lower rpm, and the pwm version is also able to spin faster and push a lot more air when the system is being pushed hard.Also a shame that a silent fan just comes with standard screw mounts and not noctua style silicone rubber pull through mounts, or even silicone pads on the corners of the frames, but then again they are cheap.

I have tried quite a few case fans but this is easily the best and the cheapest! You can run these as low 300rpm and I would say they are completely silent up to about 700rpm, and only start to make some noise at full speed (1300rpm). The PST feature is also very useful, especially on cheap motherboards. I'm a stickler for noise but I can't hear any noise while sitting at my desk so I highly recommend these over much more expensive fans!One thing to note though is that the picture in the description is wrong, that must be the out dated model, the new model has more blades and are more swept back
