Skar Audio EVL-12 D2 12" 2500 Watt Max Power Dual 2 Ohm Car Subwoofer

I have always used Rockford Fosgate Amps and Fosgate, Orion, Sundown,or JL Audio subs for builds. I heard of Skar recently and started reading about their products. Great prices, but I was skeptical. I decided to try them out. I purchased and installed a single EVL-12" 2ohm sub and wired it to 1ohm. I was running a single Fosgate P3D212" 600rms previously and it has high SQ, but could use a little more low bump. I replaced the sub and used the same amp with the Skar ported enclosure that I was using with the P3D212. They have similar volume specs. The amp I used for break-in was a 800W @1ohm Fosgate class bd and it was way underpowered for the Skar EVL @ 1,250rms. They are power hungry. I have sice replaced the amp with the Skar RP-1200.1. Huge difference with the right power. The EVL hits harder and delivers frequencies that the P3D212 just wouldn't hit. I am pleased, but the neighbors aren't. I have been running the Fosgate amp and P3D212 for about 2 years. The amp and P3 are great products. I boxed them up for my stepsons car. If the EVL and RP-1200.1 lasts that long I will be sold on Skar being high quality products at a phenomenal price. I have been running it for 8 months now without any issues. Great purchse.

I put two EVL 2 ohm 12’s in a Skar kerf port box powered by two Skar 1200.1 amps and it’s the hardest hitting system I’ve ever had. 10/10 for the money you will not get better sounding sytem for sub $1000 total I’ve got ground shaking bass.

5 tars isn't enough needs 100 stars Skars are the way to go if you don't want to keep blowing subs blown three sets of temu's planet audios bought these and turned my amp up has a/c vents falling out of place got me sea sick in my driveway these things beat like no other two of them in my suv is one to many ordering box for one i will put other in my car and Hope it doesn't break my car wow i wanted real power now i have it.

Still Breaking in the Subwoofer..... SO FAR THIS SUBWOOFER BANGS!!!! have this Sub Paired with a Skar 2500.1 mono block @ 1 OHM 🤯. Sounds GREAT!! Hits the lows and my black glass flexes. Co workers hear me from down the block! Going from 2 12"s to just 1 I was worried..Sounds better then my 2 subwoofers combined. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ( BREAK IT IN CORRECTLY AND WIRE IT RIGHT) won't be disappointed!

Ordered a “like new one “ from y’all but the sound quality was subpar. If I had to guess I’d say it wasn’t correctly broken in properl. I ordered a new one from y’all and it’s different beast! I love it! Be nice if I had the Amo I ordered but it was never delivered. I have the Sxar 359 mono on it but it’s severely unpowered

Sounds so nice feels like I have an earthquake on demand inside my car I made this box tuned for 32hz I make custom boxes for friends so I decided to make one for my own and I don’t have a video of a demo with the custom box but it sounds good with a prefab box, but one thing I can say is that the sub isn’t the issue, it’s the box fault, the pre fab box for this sub is nothing compared to the custom 32hz box

I originally purchased a dual 12" Skar loaded box from Skar. I had a 2000rms amp on the original box but I blew those speakers which was my fault as they were lower RMS and I miss read the specs. I ordered these as they would meet my specs and at the current setup the amp would push about 1250rms total so I will be safe with these for a long time I'm hoping. They bump very hard and deep. I am very happy with Skar. My other friends that have other setups with different brand amps and speakers are impressed with the bass. They have multiple amps and DSP for mids highs components and woofers. etc .... They like both woofer bass and subwoofer bass but in the end they like the deep subwoofer bass to the punch of woofer bass. Depending on what you like you will be happy with this subwoofer as well when matched to the correct requirements.

these are some excellent speakers for the price handles my t2500 fosgate amp with ease.

Subwoofer booms loud and deep, made with extremely good materials & quality. Have been booming this subwoofer 3 years and it looks brand new and rocks my car every time. Highly recommend. I dare somebody to rock 2 in a car!

Working really good

Bought a Skar evl 12 d2. Currently running 1/3 of max power capacity. It sounded great, out did my Rockford p3 by far. Now the cone is detaching from the sub wall just 4 months after purchase. The seller won’t honor skater’s 3 year warranty as I’m past 90 days. Skar won’t replace as the seller is not an authorized dealer of the product. So long and short very disappointing service from the seller. Only for them to offer a small discount on a new one…. Like really? Just stand behind the product you sell
