Mac Makeup has always been one of my top 3 favorite brands. I've been a huge RuPaul fan since I was a teenager. I used to be one of those that only spent the extra money on the high-end foundations, concealers, and mascaras, thinking that all lipsticks and liners were pretty much the same quality. OMG how I was so wrong! The difference between mac lipsticks and drug store brands cannot be compared on the same scale. I am a professional freelance makeup artist and have pretty much tried everything, and my go-to lipstick brand has always been mac. You can't go wrong. Their colors are highly pigmented and not over drying, and they stay on for a long time.This color can pretty much go with anything. I've used it with a number of lipliners and it blends effortlessly into pretty much any shade I use. This is a good neutral staple to keep in your makeup bag. It has a buildable neutral coverage with a slight shine. Depending on the occasion, I often like to top it with some mac lip glass to add a more luxurious look and shine to my lips, especially for evening events.Looks great on all skin types. Although I find it pops more with a fairer skin complexion. A very versatile color.

Definitely get a liner for this one. The red is a perfect red, very bright but the matte finish doesn't make it feel orangey, it lets it be itself.It's a great day time red as well, I find the darker the red the more it belongs on at night, this one can be great for all seasons and times. It lasts for at least a few hours on. When I get off work I enjoy the faded look I still have, if you don't have time to refresh it, don't worry, your lips will still have even color even if it's faded a lot.My only complaint is that if you have dry lips, this may not be the best to wear at that time. I find that it does not moisturize, it's purely color, maybe prep your lips with some serious lip balm - let it sit for a while, then remove before applying, this color should not be topped with gloss either, it's matte finish will most likely break up and cause your color to fade inconstantly.

True to color

It is a pretty color, BUT, the formula is not the best for such a dark color. It does not go on smooth at all. The color is not as opaque; you have to swipe it on a couple times to get the color displayed.

As good as ruby woo

Non riuscivo bene a capire che colore fosse, finché non l ' ho provato.Come si vede dalla foto è tendente al rosa, ma dà un effetto nude.È il primo rossetto che provo di facile stesura, le labbra veramente rimangono morbide.Ha un effetto più opaco che brillantinato, la durata è di qualche ora se non si mangia o beve, per cui non è no- transfert. Io preferisco così, ritoccarlo più volte se necessario, rispetto a quei rossetti che non si tolgono neanche con lo struccante!

Colour is perfect, just like shown in the ad. And although it's matt, it's still not dry. Love it!
