The 2016 Man Booker Prize winner, Han Kang, comes back with her new full-length novel after 5 years. Gyeong Ha is a novelist who wrote about Gwangju Democratization Movement. She has a friend, In Seon, who filmed, as documentaries, the women who survived the history in Manchuria and Vietnam. One day, In Seon cuts her fingers by accident and calls Gyeong Ha to Jeju with a snowstorm. Review: Always good... - The author's perspective and treatment of historical events in her novels are always heart-wrenching, passionate, yet curiously distant and objective. They inspire me to delve deeper into the events themselves and reflect on their relevance to my life today. Also, the price of this Korean-language book is lower than at my local Korean bookstore—not to mention the availability—so it's wonderful to be able to purchase it here on desertcart. Review: Korean Book - She is one of the greatest writer in the world. Especially, she has thoughtful mind in historical events in Korea. I hope more Korean Books are available in desertcart! :)
