Soft gels are easier to take and more compact for travel
Pros: Imodium A-D is a must have in my travel pack wherever I go, I need to have some on me and some in the car. I struggle with a really easily upset stomach, I've had that growing up and it eventually developed into IBS with D, and since I also take the train into work it gives me real peace of mind to have these on hand whenever I feel my stomach starting to shift. I just pop one and go. What I really like about the softgels is that they're so much smaller than the original Imodium pills, which were these big white tablets. The softgel is so tiny that sometimes I barely notice I took it, it just glides down smoothly, and it's also so much easier to pack. I usually pull a handful out of the package and drop them into a little pill container that tucks easily into my purse or fanny pack, and I keep some in my car as well. Whenever we travel, we bring an entire pill compartment that we keep fully stocked, and it just keeps getting bigger as our family grows and we all get older. These work great, and the claim that it starts working within an hour has held true for me. If I feel my stomach shifting I take it right away so I can try to get ahead of it, especially if I'm not near a bathroom. I don't notice any discomfort from using it. Cons: I only reach for Imodium A-D when I'm fairly sure it's actually going to be diarrhea and not just bloating or something more minor, since I try to match the right medicine to the right issue rather than defaulting to it every time. Everything is better in moderation, so this isn't something I take casually, it's more of a targeted tool for when I know what's coming.

These work great, much better than the other liquid brand. I like the ease of ordering them on line and they came quickly. I will buy again.

EFFECTIVE, HOWEVER NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN WITHOUT SCISSORS !
I ordered the Softgels for ease of swallowing! They are effective and appreciated, however I do not appreciate nearly cutting my fingers to open the blister pack without using scissors. Ridiculous! Johnson and Johnson needs to take note and redesign. PLEASE!
