Best I shaver have used
Although not a cheap item, I am glad I took the plunge and purchased this mighty machine. It is a substantial product and in a good way. It fills the hand reassuringly and is for me nicely ergonomic. Grip is good, and I particularly like that the head can be in one of several fixed positions or left 'loose' to follow the contours of my face, giving me some of the best shaves I have ever experienced. It is quite loud, so best to close the bathroom door or risk waking other members of the household on a Sunday morning (it really is not too bad, quite easy to live with)!I like the cleaning station - it makes care of this shaver a simple affair. The station is quite a noisy beast (it sets the shaver working several times over a few minutes as part of the cleaning process) and then blow dries and recharges the shaver. I personally save on cleaning fluid by manually cleaning the shaver with a small brush to get rid of most bristle build-up, then placing the shaver in the station for a clean. After the process is finished, I remove the fluid cartridge from the staion and reseal it to avoid the contents evaporating. One cartridge can last for quite some time this way depending on frequency of cleans.I am pleased with this item. Yes, replacement heads are quite pricey, but so are all the various manufacturers' replacement cutters. At least with Braun it seems you get a good deal of use from the original head (I have owned this shaver for some time now, and it still cuts cleanly).I certainly recommend this product. Before this I used a rotary shaver for many years and I will not be going back to that system again.

Perfect for face and head.
I have never been a fan of electric shavers, but after deciding I wanted to fully shave my head as well as my face, I started looking into what to buy. It was too much hassle to wet shave so after plenty of research, I opted for this shaver over dedicated skull shavers. After wet shaving my head and face I let the hair grow for 3 days. I performed a face and head shave with my newly purchased shaver and am amazed by the results. Time wise it took roughly half the time. Visibly I couldn't tell the difference to a wet shave. To the touch it was almost the same, certainly good enough for me. The cleaning station works well, although it isn't essential as you can easily clean it manually. I am thoroughly happy with my purchase.

It is an excellent rechargeable battery powered razor.
In comparing the Series 9 Pro with the Braun Series 7 which I have used for many years, the Series 9 Pro has a much bigger shaving head with a bigger facial contact area which makes it very comfortable in use, much more so than the Series 7. The 9 Pro has an additional brass coloured cutter. However, I have not found the 9 Pro to be more effective as a razor than the Series 7 it is just nicer to use.The updated cleaning system does seem to be more effective than that originally supplied several years ago with the Series 7, although there were no instructions about how to use the ‘Smart’ feature.

First foil razor which actually works for me!
I've had several different Braun foil razors over the years but I always found that unless you shave every single day, they tend to leave stray uncut hairs especially on the upper neck where they tend to lay flat. Thankfully this is the first Braun I've tried which seems to cope quite well with that and I don't find I have to do a quick second pass with a razor to get the ones it missed. It's expensive but it's noticably better than their sub-£100 models. The battery also seems to last forever.

Best shaver ever!
I would ignore the bad reviews, honestly I would consider this a replacement for a wet shave. I have owned all the Braun series and have to say that this exceeded my expectations. You don’t realise how powerful and amazing this shaver is until you buy it. If you’re unsure, take the leap - life’s too short to worry about if it will cut well or not… it’s literally Braun and their best shaver. I would even push the boat out to say it’s the best shaver in the world I’ve ever used… I’m not even joking it’s actually so good. I’m still shocked at how close it cuts, it’s phenomenal!

so impressed if I could I would buy the company
I have had the Braun series 7 for a number of years and liked it a lot, it was getting a bit tired and tatty (it's 10 years old) so I decided to get a new one and saw the 9pro and the price was good with the cleaning station. Wow it's so much better than I was expecting. It shaves so close even better than my old trusty series 7. No skin irritation or razor burn and it's lighter and quieter too small differences I know, you can also use it in the shower if that's your thing Bottom line it's a great shave

Don't buy it
Honestly it's awful. Doesn't shave at all, I've had it since may. Used it 3 times and it's broke.

A superb close shave
Things have come on since I last used an electric shaver back in the last century. Gone are the tugging on the sterner bristles, the irritation and the powdery skin. This was a smooth, close shave with very little irritation following a dry shave. I've yet to try a shave wet, but I'm sure that will help with the sensitive skin on my neck. I'm surprised and very pleased with the quality of shave and the quality of the device itself. My only complaint is the power supply with its ridulously short cord and yet another bespoke connector. Other than that, perfect.
