Great Value
This lens gives so much bang for the buck. Super sharp and a very practical zoom range if you can live with losing 4 degrees at the wide end from the standard 24-70. I tried it out yesterday on the photos of the camera and I was not disappointed at all. The build quality seems quite good. It does have a solid feel although it's plastic, but that keeps the weight and price down so I'm ok with that. This is a great all-round lens for the Sony E-mount system that everyone should consider.

Perfect all-around lens for portrait or travel photos.
Previously, I wasn't a big fan of third party lens...especially Tamron. However, this lens is awesome. Just broke it in using it with my Sony A7III during a trip to Cabo and it worked like a champ. The 2.8 Aperture makes for great background boka and almost eliminates my 55mm prime lens with the 28 - 70mm focusing with a constant 2.8 aperture throughout. I didn't use the extra items that came with the kit, but I did like the collapsible photo backpack, portable tripod, cleaning kit and the extra 64GB storage card will come in handy in the near future for either photo or video storage. Definitely a great lens and great valued package for the price.

Best lens I've owned to date.
Good autofocus, great usability, solid picture quality, easy to use for photos or videos. Works great :). I've used it for sports, weddings, family photos, religious photos/videos, and a few other projects. Highly recommend. My only gripe is that it seems to like to alter autofocus if the subject is sitting still. It seems to eventually lose focus on my A6400. I think in the future I'll lock focus and then just turn AF off to stop that from happening. Ironically, it holds focus much better when you're moving around. Its almost like the camera got bored and decided to wander around the room.

Sharp!
This is a great all around lens. I use it with a Sony A7RIII and so far it has been amazing. Love how close you can get to the subject. The auto focus is very good (did the version 3.0 update), not super fast but it's not slow enough to cause an issue. I enjoy the feel of the lens it's very solid and the material is sleek. It is a steal for the price! Also it came with a lot of accessories, the backpack is really nice.

Bang for your buck
This lens is a great bang for your buck. Creates bokeh on par with the other f2.8 lenses out there. My only issue is the autofocus being a microsecond slower than the GMaster or Sigma Art series. I do suggest this for any prosumers or professionals on a budget and don’t have upwards of $1,500 for a lens. With it being a third party lens, I’ve also noticed a slight tightness when mounting it on my lens. It hasn’t caused any problems as of yet, but makes it a bit worrisome when exchanging lenses. Again, this is an excellent lens and can’t wait to see if they come out with a 70-200 f2.8 type to finish of the trilogy.

Must-Buy Lens
Great lens. Was also looking at the sigma and the Sony versions. This Tamron was significantly cheaper - which made it an easy choice for me. Super fast autofocus, fantastic picture quality.. and superb in low light! Must-buy lens for those looking for a reliable mid-range zoom lens.

Phenomenal lens for price compared to Sony equivalent
When I moved to Sony Mirrorless recently, I originally purchased a (used) Sony 24-105mm f4 with my a7iii and it was great. But after more research, I discovered this lens and read all the good things about it. So I put the Sony lens up for sale and ordered this one. Not only is this lens as good as the Sony in all ways (in real usage), the f2.8 exceeds it. The money I got back for the used Sony lens allowed me to pay for this one. And this one is better. Phenomenal lens. No regrets!

Used and covered in hairs
The sd card is missing in the box. The lens arrived in used condition, covered in stains and dog/animal hair, some liquid on it. Very gross an dusty, not what you expect when you buy a lens

First time using Tamron lens and the hood is broken into two pieces. Not sure how to fix.
