My daughter loved the "Quiltmaker's Journey" after hearing it in her 1st grade class, so I purchased "Miss Hunnicutt's Hat" as a Christmas gift. Recently, another girl made fun of some hairclips she was wearing in her hair which hurt her feelings. Miss Hunnicutt's Hat was perfectly-timed, a story about a woman who won't give in when her neighbor's ask her to stop wearing her unusual hat. A wonderfully written and illustrated story about being yourself.

this is just a grand book. the illustrations and the story are perfect for kids 10 and over. actually i think ienjoyed it more than the kids did. girls especially will like it.

Love the illustrations and the story is great. The kids will love this. The moral of the story is be yourself.

This delightful story with beautifully illustrated, vivid pictures is a favorite of my grandchildren who are 5yrs and 3yrs old. Not only is this story entertaining, it also weaves throughout important virtues worthy of discussing with all children.
