Trick Costume Knife with Disappearing Blade - Pack of 1

Bought this as a gift to go with my kiddo's cosplay. It's a cute little knife, that's obviously a toy. Definitely not stage or movie quality, but great for casual play/costuming.

I purchased this knife for my son for Halloween. So far, so good. I remember having a similar knife growing up and it breaking almost immediately on me. He's had it for a couple weeks, played with it every day, and it hasn't broke. The only bad thing is the silver coloring is coming off, but it's to be expected. Overall, great item considering the price. Update: This lasted for about 6 months before my son broke it. In fairness, he used it often for pranks or playing. Would buy again.

The trick to this "trick costume knife with disappearing blade" is that once it disappears it doesn't re-appear. I had a few trick knives 15 years ago and they worked great and lasted for a long time. When I saw these I was excited to see them and couldn't wait to get them. When they arrived I was totally disappointed! I bought 5 and each and every one of them broke right out of the package. When I pressed the first one to my leg to test it the blade went in and didn't come back out! When I finally jostled the blade loose it flew forward and right out of the handle; the plastic piece that was supposed to stop the blade broke and the blade became a projectile. I thought: "Okay, it could be a fluke." But each one did the exact same thing! It was ridiculous! Save your money! Don't buy these!

It was smaller than I expected. When I held it sideways, the blade tips downward. It looks really cheap/plastic. I got this for a play and the first time the actors used it, it broke and I ended up fixing it by breaking the handle open and securing the spring back in place with chord and Krazy glue and my repair made it work better than the original design. It's a fun little toy, but not the best for anything serious.

This was a excellent trick knife. I used it an a Christmas play. It worked very well however you do need to be careful with item because I dropped it and the handle broke. This was after the play so it worked for what I needed it to so five star.
