I ordered the coat and my yorker was so small that I didn't think I needed the back shield. Well, the is 51/2 lbs and I needed the bace shield. I called the owner of this co. and he did not to worry and actually sent 2 shields so I(hopefully) will not lose them again. I also bought the coat since this is where a predator . She is never outside without me.THANK YOU, AGAIN

Update #2. I love my dogs Raptor Shield, especially now that I’ve fixed the problems with the neck piece not being attached. I took it to a shoe repair place and paid $10 bucks to have it sewn onto the shield itself. These two pieces should not be sold separately. It makes no sense except to make more money for the company. I also added extra Velcro as the length on the collar, in my option, is too short. Once these two modifications were complete my chihuahua was much more comfortable wearing her shield. She wears this probably a total of 2 hours a day. Lately we’ve had numerous hawks flying over our yard daily and they just ignore Tinkerbelle. All we can come up with is the hawks are thrown off by the colors of the shield. I don’t care, it works!Update: I still highly recommend buying this with the raptor shield, its a must. Truthfully, I don’t know why its sold separately. My only problem is the velcro attachment. I mentioned it before and yes it is a problem. My dog uses this every day, multiple times a day, and i would say it come undone 50% of the time. I still plan to take it to be modified and that will fix it. Its still an absolute necessity for any small dog though.I’ve used the Raptor Shield for two years and my only complaint was my lack of neck protection. I modified her “cape” to protect her and my review stated that. I’m going to assume I’m not the only one who had the same problem. This collar is awesome. So I modified the raptor shields neck material with the bottom piece of Velcro and I’ve attached her new collar directly to the neck piece. It works perfectly. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that I wish it had a longer piece of Velcro to attach the two sides together. I’m taking it to,a shoe repair shop and having them add the piece so I feel more confident that it will stay together. I highly recommend the Raptor Shield. I’ve had hawks fly 5 feet over Tink and just ignore her. I feel Raptor Shield has saved her life.

It seemed too wide for my little dogs neck, she hated it. My larger dog eventually ate it.

Great product to help keep my small puppy safe from hawk attacks. A bit hot and uncomfortable for him I think, but helps keep him safe.
