I mainly use this filter on my Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8 when shooting video. If it affects image quality, it's certainly hard to tell. It feels like a premium filter, and it should for the price. It's easy to switch between stops by rotating the adjustment ring, and the adjustment ring has a nice, smooth feel to it.

I’ve been using the NiSi 67mm Swift True Color ND-Vari filter for a few weeks now. It’s a reliable piece of my landscape kit. The build quality is excellent—solid, smooth-turning, and I think it will prove to be durable over the long haul. The “True Color” claim holds up impressively well, delivering neutral tones without that unwanted color cast common in cheaper ND filters. Variable density adjustment is precise and smooth, allowing quick exposure control in shifting light. I particularly appreciate that it plays nicely with wide-angle lenses—minimal vignetting, even around 16–20mm, which is rare. Why not five stars? Just a slight softness can creep in at the extreme ND end, and it’s not the most budget-friendly option. But for photographers who value color accuracy and pro-level consistency, this filter earns its keep.

*Initial reaction to this ND filter* The quality of it is great. Doesn’t feel cheaply made. If you’re wondering if it comes with a lands cap it does. It also comes with an extra handle to help rotate the ND filter. Just remember to turn off your auto ISO. For the price I paid. I’m very happy with this product. I have a YouTube channel(BIG ST3W) and I do a lot of outdoor content and indoor content while working on cars and this helps control my lighting. *I will give a six month update*

La qualità costruttiva è molto alta: l’anello di rotazione è fluido e preciso, senza scatti o giochi, e permette di regolare la densità in modo graduale e controllato. Il formato da 82 mm è ideale per obiettivi luminosi e si integra bene nel mio set di filtri. Il punto forte è la resa cromatica: rispetto ad altri ND variabili, questo mantiene davvero una dominante colore minima. Le immagini restano naturali, con una buona fedeltà dei toni anche alle densità più alte. Anche la nitidezza dell’immagine non risulta compromessa in modo evidente. Si nota una buona gestione del controllo della luce fino a circa 5 stop, rendendolo molto versatile sia per fotografia paesaggistica che per video con tempi di esposizione controllati. Nel complesso è un filtro professionale, affidabile e molto ben calibrato. Il prezzo è alto, ma giustificato dalla qualità ottica e dalla precisione meccanica. Consigliato per chi cerca risultati seri senza compromessi.

Worth every penny

I did a lot of research on line before buying this NISI ND filter. I have used it in my Canon 70-200 and 24-70 2.8 lens on a Canon R5C. As the 24-70 has an 82mm thread I bought an 82mm adapter to fit the 77mm thread on the 70-200. The filter maintains the true colors of the subject and the 1-5 stops are perfect for the videos that I shoot. It's expensive but worth it.
