Forever Yours: A Forbidden Second Chance Romance (The Temptation Series Book 1)

Absolutely loved this book
I went into this blind. But when I started reading, I realized how realistically written this book was. Neither were millionaires with the world at their feet. In a way it sort of reminded me of Sex/Life on Netflix. You read from Stephanie's point of view and I am certain if you read you will also feel a range of emotions from sadness to shock to disappointment. She has been married for 15 years when all of a sudden her 'one that got away' is staring across from her at her first day of a new job.I can see how Steph's family and her husband have kind of beat her down and she doesn't feel anything good about herself. When she sees Cal again, he starts making her feel things she hasn't in years about her body. He doesn't care about her weight, doesn't constantly mention her size or her diet. The feelings from 20 years ago are there for both of them and just as strong. She struggles with her life and who she wishes she could be.Steph makes some questionable choices, but she is such a relatable character I couldn't help but push for her happiness. I am so impatiently excited for book 2! I hope there is a happy ending for everyone involved.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful
I don’t typically read books that involve cheating, but I found this book through the author promoting it on another platform and wanted to give it a try. I’m glad I did. Cal and Steph’s story is one of heartbreak and deep love. Timing is really not on their side when it comes to being together. Despite multiple obstacles, the love remains. I felt this was very well written and was able to capture the emotional depth that brings someone to a decision like this and the consequences of such a decision. The characters were real and written in an authentic voice that lended a raw feel for the situations they found themselves in. There is no fairytale ending when cheating takes place…there is pain and hurt for all parties. I’m looking forward to reading the next book to see how things will be resolved.Note to potential readers: Steph is a bigger woman and there are comments made about this. Be mindful and take care if this a trigger for you.

Not My Usual Read
I found this book through the Author promoting it on another platform. While I am an avid romance reader this is not what I typically gravitate towards. Stories about cheating are not my cup of tea. Both main characters, Steph and Cal seem like terrible, selfish people, using love as an excuse for all their decisions. Steph is in a slightly emotionally abusive relationship, he husbands main flaw being that he makes rude comments about her weight.Cal, who is Steph’s ex also treated her like garbage and yet she can’t help but run into his bed almost immediately after being reunited after 20 years.I’ll admit there were some steamy scenes and it was well written, but I don’t relate to the characters.

Agonizing. Heartbreaking. Aggravating. But I loved it
This series is a whirlwind of emotion. Agonizing. Heartbreaking. Aggravating. But I loved it. It gave me The Notebook vibes. These two people love each other so much, their love is consuming, but they can’t seem to find the right time and place to be together. They argue constantly. God did I want to slap some sense into them.Cal and Steph have known each other since the young age of 5. After decades of friendship, something more grows between them. Their long history plays a big part in their loyalty to each other, but romantic relationships can get messy and destroy the strongest friendships. And that’s what happened to Cal and Steph.I read this series in chronological order, which I highly recommend. I needed to get the backstory, see their friendship evolve before diving into book 1. Without it, I’m not sure I would have been rooting for Cal and Steph. I don’t usually read romances about cheating. But this one was different. I wanted nothing more than to see Cal and Steph get a happy ending. And they do get there, but their journey is long and grueling. What I love most about this series is how it shows a woman living an unhealthy stable life. Sure, she’s got a “great” husband who cooks and who is a wonderful dad. But happiness comes in many shapes and sizes. It took seeing Cal again for Steph to realize just how unhappy she really was. Life was in default mode.If this story taught me anything it’s that you shouldn’t settle for something less than what you want and what you deserve. Don’t let 20 years go by before you realize the life you are living is not the one you want. Don’t walk away from someone you love because you are scared. Keep hold of that love. Stay true to yourself. And live.

Triggers this book has cheating. This books take the reader through so many emotions. Happy sad. The stress of the affair. The elation of it. I equally loved and hated Stephanie in this book. Looking forward to forever mine

Love this!
I fell in love with Cal and Steph in their prequel story and HAD to continue reading about their journey! I know this story might not be for everyone....but it gripped me! Such a rollercoaster ride! I can't wait for book 3. I've already pre-ordered it.

Eh
I received an ARC of Forever Yours in exchange for an honest review.I’m torn on this one. Forever Yours was well written but Steph and Justin are two of the most unlikable characters I’ve read in a while. I almost stopped reading with each chapter in the first half of the book, and I was thankful that things picked up in the second half. I kept hoping Steph would leave Justin, or Justin would find out what Steph was doing and leave her.The chemistry between Steph and Cal was great, and Cal was the reason I kept reading. We’re left with “To Be Continued…” at the end. While I’m curious as to if Steph and Cal will eventually end up together, I don’t know if I will be able to bring myself to continue reading their story.

An incredibly, hot & steamy good read
5 stars....can't I give more?!?!Where do I start? Well for a start off, this isn't my usual genre, I read Holocaust & murder, I'd never read such a book before, so to say I was nervous about reading it is an understatement....well!!!! Boy, I needn't have been. This was such a well written book, I can't tell it's the author's 1st at all....I can't wait for the next book, when is it out....come on?!?!It sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions from anger to sympathy, even happy tears. I HATE that husband but that made me want to keep reading to see if she says anything to him, & adored Cal from the start, I just imagine a tattooed john snow!!! Theres a clever little plot twist too. But my favourite thing by far is the focus on the fact she is a bigger woman, we need more books like this, how Cal looks at her is just.....incredible. Positive focus on a larger lady is deffinitely what we need more of in the world!! Things she goes through are just so relatable to me, I have laughed at several moments to do with this in the book, like the changing room scene....soo funny!!This book makes me want to read more like it, only thing is, I'd worry they wouldn't live up to this one.HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!!!! Thanks for writing and good luck with your future books....not that you need it!!!

Steamy and Good
I loved the connection between Steph and Cal. This boom had so much heat and made for a great steamy lead. I'm not a huge fan of cheating tropes, but this was still well written and worth the read. Excited to see what happens in book 2

Second Chance Love - Great Read
TW Cheating - hence the name Temptation Series ;-)What do you do when your first love appears in your office, and brings up all those past feelings that you thought you had buried deep. Thats what happens to Steph, who's unhappy, and wondering about the what ifs - then Cal walks straight back in from her past.I really enjoyed this story, I loved how normal she was, plus size and flawed. Lets face it, no one is perfect, and what I loved about this story was the imperfections.Plot and pacing was good, and as it's a book about cheating is obviously full of angst and emotion.Definitely recommend, and the next on is on my TBR.

Wonderful storyline, brilliantly written, can't wait for the next book in May 2022.
Just finished reading Annie Charme's Forever Yours, really enjoyed this book loved the characters and the storyline. Two people who missed out on love when they were young, and just when you think they get a second chance it all goes wrong again. Had me in tears at the end. Brilliantly written, can't wait for the next book Forever Mine which is due out in May 2022. A love like theirs doesn't happen to two people very often, two souls searching for a love that could last a lifetime and beyond.

Amazing read!
I absolutely loved this book. Annie Charme has to be commended on her portrayal of plus sized characters - such a refreshing change to read about a non stick thin woman for a change. The scenes are so relatable especially when she wants the lights turned off. This book evokes true emotions and I can't wait for book 2. This is a delightful debut from a talented writer do not hesitate to read it.
