The CHI G2 flat iron is a winner! I have long, thick hair that tends to soak up humidity and of course that causes frizz. This flat iron with its digital temperature controls work exceptionally well on my hair and allows me to consistently get salon quality styling at home. My hair remains smooth, with a nice sheen and it does not frizz up in the humid weather. I am very pleased with this flat iron. To protect my hair from heat damage, I always use a heat protectant on my hair before using my CHI G2 (or any hair straightener), and I make certain that the heat protectant has had a chance to completely dry (or I gently blow dry it) before using the CHI G2 flat iron. I love my CHI G2, it gives me the confidence to do my own hair and it saves me money on salon visits. LOVE IT!!!

Love this flat iron. The color coating makes it easy to make sure it’s not too hot to accidentally burn my hair at first I thought it didn’t clamp down as tight as other irons but it’s tight enough to do a really good job and hopefully less burn seems to really straighten my hair even on the coolest setting turns off automatically which was a feature I needed because I always forget. Get to temperature in seconds. Really happy with it so far.

I’ve seen some of the reviews and was skeptical at first however I love love love this straightener. I have had several high-end brands and this one blows everything out of the water. I have thick Asian hair that sometimes is hard to keep curls in, but the straightener does it all day in hot, humid weather.

I have used my old Remington flat iron for 2 years and it died on me. I used my friends CHI on vacation and was impressed by the quality, hers is 5-6 years old. CHI was recommended me to by several friends because of the quality and long lasting use. I love that this flat iron is dual voltage for travel. I ordered the CHI original and CHI G2 To compare, the only difference I noticed is the G2 has an 11 ft cord and the original has a 6.. I prefer the shorter cord. Also the G2 has color coded settings which I don’t believe is necessary- it’s just a selling point. Both flat irons heat up fast and work great however I chose to keep the original because it is a ceramic plate which is less damaging to hair over time. The G2 has titanium infused plates which can be drying and damaging to hair. My one complaint would be that I wish it had a lock feature for storage. I did reorder this on target because it was $50 cheaper… Overall I am happy with the CHI and looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it!

I initially bought this flat iron as an emergency purchase because I was traveling to Brazil and needed a dual-voltage straightener. Before this, I had been using a BaByliss, but it’s not dual voltage. When this one arrived, I was honestly skeptical because it’s so lightweight. I seriously doubted how well it would work. But it proved me completely wrong! It worked perfectly the entire month I was in Brazil. For reference, my hair is long, thick, and naturally wavy. Brazil’s weather is hot and extremely humid, so you’re constantly sweating, and your hair is exposed to humidity all day. Needless to say, most flat irons only keep my hair straight for a short time in those conditions. This one, however, not only straightened my hair beautifully but actually kept it straight and frizz-free much longer than my BaByliss—or any other flat iron I’ve tried. It also left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny! It’s incredibly powerful despite being so lightweight, which makes it very easy to handle (again, much lighter than my BaByliss). I would definitely buy it again! All of these pictures were taken in Brazil, so you can see for yourself how well it performed in a hot, humid climate. My hair looked amazing the entire trip. Great product with excellent durability!

Works much better than my old Hot Tools version (several years old). Grabs hair better with longer plates that seem very smooth and powerful. Extra long cord too. Very happy with it. Worth the money!

I have straight hair so was not sure I needed this but have been amazed at how useful it is. Even straight hair can get a little wavy or full. This tool can straighten it and add curl on the ends if I desire. Love it!
