It is my understanding based on a Google search that cod liver oil supports heart health, reduces inflammation and joint pain, builds strong bones, and maintains vision. I could benefit from all of the above. I have ordered these several times and have no complaints. I have taken only one a day but beginning today I have decided to step it up to two a day, which is label recommended. I remember that cod liver oil was given to me and my siblings when we where children. The taste was so bad that I would pour the liquid onto the spoon and then back into the bottle. Now that I'm older, I realize I was only fooling myself. Those old folks knew what they were doing. It was an affordable way of keep kids healthy. Well, at least these soft gels do not have that aftertaste. I'll probably write another review if I notice a significant difference between taking two gels versus one.
