USB 3.0 AUX Flush Mount Car Mount Extension Cable, 3 Feet

Perfect fit for my 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 with no modifications required. I placed it in the driver's side 12volt/cigarette plug socket. See pics. All I had to do was remove the 12volt socket (plenty of videos out there on how to do this), slide the cover ring up to the usb plug female end then push the plug into the hole where the 12v socket was and screw the nut on the back, then run male end to the back of my head unit. Required no modifications to the hole--was perfect size and it snugged up nicely. Took less than 10 minutes. I have the male end of this adapter plugged directly into the back of my new Pioneer AVH-1440NEX 6.2 Inch DVD Receiver with CarPlay, HD Radio and Bluetooth and so far Apply CarPlay and "hey Siri" activation works perfectly with my iPhone 6s IOS 11.4.1. Before installing this permanently, I did initially plug it into the Pioneer USB cable that came with the head unit and was plugged into the back of the head unit and then I connected my iPhone 6s to this via my iPhone lightening cable, just to make sure there were no issues--there weren't so after about a week I moved forward with the permanent installation. Now it looks like my 2005 truck has a factory USB port. I am two weeks in and so far could not be happier with this product or with my Pioneer AVH-1440NEX 6.2 Inch DVD Receiver with CarPlay, HD Radio and Bluetooth. We have the Hands-Free law in Georgia now so I am good to go!

We needed a way to extend the usb port in the glovebox on his aftermarket radio so my son could plug up his phone and use the Apple Car Play because using Bluetooth had a delay that was annoying. Since he doesn’t smoke and only used the power port for a bullet to charge his phone, we bought this type so we could just take out the cigarette port and replace it with this. The cable that it has connected to it was an ample length and allowed us to route it easily. It was a compatible size to fit in the opening of the power port and the material it was made of matched the dash perfectly. We did not have to use the included bracket but if we had to it appears that it would provide many versatile options for mounting. As soon as we connected his phone it jumped into CarPlay mode and started charging. Couldn’t beat the value considering what he was dealing with before. I make custom Bluetooth speaker boxes and may have to order some to use to add a usb port to the outside of the case.

Installed in place of the cigarette lighter on my Isuzu Rodeo. I bought it to give me a nice clean way to connect my phone to my Pioneer radio and this worked really well. It comes with a couple of nuts and spacers which will accommodate various cigarette lighter holes. On my Isuzu, the cigarette lighter hole was actually smaller than this plug. I used my Dremel to open it up a bit so it'd slide in. Then I used the included nut and tightened it down. Easy.There's enough cord to reach the back of the radio and the cord is thick and durable. The whole thing feels well made.If you want to do something similar, give this a try. I'm happy with it. You might be too.

I tried to retain the factory port location in my 2013 Kia Optima using the UHK-1 adapter however it did not work reliably with Android Auto, and I know from reading reviews that the HYKIA adapter does not work with Android Auto either. So it looked like using the factory port location was not going to happen. Luckily the Kia has 2 cigarette lighters in the dash so I just removed one of them, enlarged the hole very slightly with a dremel (could be done with a file or even course sandpaper, it does not need enlarged very much). Then this screwed in. Cable length is perfect for reaching the back of the head unit. So far it is working reliably. Looks factory or close enough anyway. Great product, I am very tempted to buy another one to have as a spare in case they stop making them. The only improvement I can think of is if they offered one is just a slightly smaller size so that it was not necessary to enlarge the cigarette lighter hole.

After installing a double din (wired CarPlay) radio, I needed a permanent solution to be able to access the rear mount USB port on the radio. I ordered this to replace a factory 12V cigarette lighter and was pleased with the fitment and quality of the product. This created a clean & easy USB port to access on the dash, instead of routing a single cable from behind the dash.

My 2003 Toyota Tundra has three cigarette lighter/power outlet locations, and I was able to swap one of them out for this unit. The fitment was great and it installed cleanly without looking out of place.I like that it gives me a more useful charging option than the original cigarette lighter socket. I’m actually planning to get another one and install it as a dedicated charging port that will work even when the truck is turned off, separate from my stereo setup.Overall, I’m happy with it. It fit well, looks clean, and is a nice upgrade for an older truck.

Es un buen producto y funciona perfectamente. Sin embargo, al tener el cable fijo, hace que al montarlo en alguna tapa, sea un problema (si usas una extensión para desmontarlo fácilmente, tendrás mucho cable, de lo contrario, quedará justo y será difícil maniobrar).
