Great connector.
I used this item to replace a failed 1/8 to 3.5mm adapter for a CW Key enabling the correct connections and the key is now working correctly. I just ordered a couple more as I am finding other uses for this product. It was exactly what I needed and I recommend it. Well worth the price.

High-quality, easy to work with—great for prototyping
I bought this because I'm wiring a custom cable for use with my ham radio transceiver and amplifier. The ACC port on my radio uses a 3.5mm phono plug such as this. But since I wasn't sure of some connections, I wanted a quick way to mock up the final connector before soldering a final one. This is exactly what what I needed! Pros: -Quality cable and solid plastic molding on both the plug and terminal end. -Proper electrical continuity between plug and terminals. No shorts, crossed wires, or open circuits found with Ohm meter. -Screws on terminal are very easy to turn and make bare wire connections a breeze. -Perfect for quick prototyping, can be reused for the next project. -Terminals are labeled with pin connections for ease of use. -Wire lead has the appearance and size of a commercial plug, so this product should function as usually when testing. Cons: -Probably not best for a permanent cable construction, as the screw terminals are designed to lightly grip the wires, not hold them indefinitely. But this is not designed for "permanent" use anyway, so this is not a true negative, just something to be aware of. Highly recommend for it's intended use: prototyping!

Great for 3.5mm pin to stereo cable conversion
I had to convert cellphone output (4 pin out - L, R, Mic, G) to stereo 2-speaker wiring to play on an older stereo system. The terminal connector cable was provided with the plug to into the phone, a block to make speaker wire transition connection, and a small screw driver. The block had L, R, G jacks. To connect to the L & R inputs, 2 grounds must be inserted into the G block, one ground from each stereo cable. This was a challenge because of the small size, but I made it work. Overall, a good buy and very handy. Now I can connect the plug to any 3 or 4 pin 3.5mm device and feed into the stereo for a great sound.
