Q: How much fuel does this treat?

The 16oz ounce bottle treats 120 gallons of diesel fuel. Use 2 ounces per 15 gallons of fuel for everyday use, and 4 ounces per 15 gallons of fuel for initial use and injector clean up.

Q: All these reviews state this stuff works. How'd you determine cetane numbers? soot levels, without an opacity test?

My measure of performance is limited to the amount of soot observed on the transom of my boat @ 25.50 and 75 hours, ease of starting in cool temps and the amount of visible exhaust soot. I have not observe any signs of slime or alga in the fuel tanks or my racor 500 filters at inspection or replacement. I hope this helps.

While Biobor JF prevents microorganisms in the fuel, Biobor MD address improving fuel characteristics and engine performance with a multi-functional additive package. Biobor MD includes cetane boost, injector cleaner, lubricity, water & corrosion control, stabilizers and winer anti-gel for a well rounded, all-season treament. Both may be used year-round for complete protection.

The Biobor MD should be a light to dark tea color, it will not be clear.
