Works well
Replacement was straight forward. Had to remove the rusted nuts holding on the existing hardware…but that’s not the fault of this product.

Worked as advertised!!
Tip…put on truck before you put on running boards…rookie mistake doing the first side. But they work great.

After less than 1 year it stopped working! Don’t buy.
This motor is not worth the money that I spent. I purchased 10/22 and it has not worked since 7/23. I can not get in touch with the manufacturer.

Installation of the new parts only took an hour and a half.
The original motor and brackets took three hours to remove because it was my first time replacing them, and the original motor had to be partially disassembled in order to be removed. But the installation of the new parts only took an hour and a half. The frame-mounting holes of the new, replacement brackets are slightly off from the original Ford parts, but not enough to prevent the brackets from being installed. The motor is slightly faster than the original Ford one, and the second/rear bracket moves very easily, so the running board now deploys and retracts very quickly. I was also very pleased that the electrical connector comes with the white, plastic mounting "clip" to attach it to the motor, and the installation was as easy as removing the old brackets and using the same bolts for the new one. However, I strongly recommend finding two boxes which can fit under the deployed running board both as a safety precaution and the running board can be set down on something when you're working on the other bracket.Overall, the entire process took me about six or seven hours because of the problems with the original motor, and the new motor and bracket cost about $297, including ground shipping. By comparison, the Ford dealer estimated the Ford parts and their labor for the same work would've cost a little more than $1,500. So I saved $1,200+ in labor and learned something new about my Expedition. This was well worth the effort to save that much money.

Best bang for the buck!!!
Ford dealership wanted $650 just for the motor. This comes with the bracket which made it way easier to install 6 bolts total and slides right off without taking the entire running board off. Only took about 30 minutes to remove the old and install the new!!!
