This is a terrible product. Backwashing does not clean these. You have to totally disassemble your filter and wash them every couple months (the frequent disassembly makes your plumbing more prone to leaks). After two hours using a shop vac to get them out and wash them, they are a major pain to put back in, and they start to break down from washing (see photo). Terrible value, terrible product. Total scam. Please don’t waste your money like I did.

They are mediocre at best. After one season the pool clouds up. Backwash produces almost nothing. Obviously the contaminants do not wash out like they do with sand. I wanted them to work but they don't.

I used for personal use in pool / it works just not as well as they say but it does work fairly easy on the install

These particular filter balls did not filter as advertised went back to sand after one season

We thought we would try something new this year when we opened the pool. We thought the blue filter balls looked easy so we bought 500 lbs . We have spent over $300 in chemicals and picture 2 shows what it looks like after 2 weeks and fighting it. Picture 1 shows what it looked like when we opened the pool We have a salt water pool. We are so disappointed. We have wasted money and time. When we opened the filter it looked awful( wish I would have taken a picture of it). We are sending part of the balls back dirty and part I have washed and some of them came unraveled. We are going back to sand.

It would not filter properly. What it was suppose to filter out it put it right back in. I have 3 extra bags and can find how to return them.
